The error from the goal kick might look bad in isolation, but the intent is spot on. The actions he committed prior to that FAR outweigh any error he made when being caught by Corey Durdin. Wilson rarely looked flustered after it as well. Lads got him around straight away.

There will always be a query about how VFL form translates into AFL form. Invariably we see percentage drop offs around output and influence. Billy Wilson has shown us what this team has lacked in abundance. Drive. Range of disposal. Composure. Powerful.

@AGissara It might seem simple but a ruckman obviously needs to know how to ruck, then how a midfield operates, how the forward structure wants to look like when he rests forward and know a bit of back 6 when the opponent drags him forward. A little bit of everything

Five on the bounce for the VFL boys, with lots of nice signs from developing and senior boys alike. For the first time in a long time they look like a cohesive team. Great to see. The 20-point margin flattered the Dogs. We had 15 more shots & kicked 3.8 to their 6.0 in the last.

Cody Walker does so much well for a developing player - and he’s been more impressive with each passing VFL showing. Clean, a first option decision maker, selfless, smooth mover and impressive aerobically. Lots to work on, but lots to work with as we build him towards 2027.
