【 Genshin Impact - 7.0 Crumbs 】 • Traveler and Paimon travel by train across the frozen wastes of Snezhnaya accompanied by a sentient consciousness residing in a pair of goggles known as "Grey-Eye" • They are traveling to the Palace of the White Crown, which serves as the tomb for the previous Cryo Archon, known as the White Tsar. • Through visions of the past within a Shadow Realm, the Traveler learns that 500 years ago, a group of researchers (including Aksinya, Alvis, and Kaschey) at the Hvergelmir Institute were performing forbidden bio-alchemy. • They were attempting to create a "Proto-Human" (雏原人) to serve as a new ruler for the planet • The White Tsar himself was an artificial being created by the ancient people of Hyperborea using the flesh of the Primordial Cryo Dragon in an attempt to reach the status of "Nibelung," the King of Dragons • However, the experiment went out of control, releasing power that transformed all of Snezhnaya into a "holy land of primordial ice". • The catastrophe only ended when a Heavenly Nail descended from Celestia to pin the region. • Upon reaching the palace, the group is confronted by "The Beast," a two-headed synthesis monster that has guarded the Tsar’s remains for centuries • The Beast reveals that "Grey-Eye" is actually the consciousness of the Proto-Human, whose body was split into three parts and scattered • Finally, Aksinya appears and reveals her ultimate goal: she intends to use "Grey-Eye" as a "Key" to merge with the still-active nerves of the White Tsar (the Tsar's Birch) • This would trigger the creation of the "Garden of Carefreeness," a world where time and change are abolished so that "love" can be frozen in an eternal, stagnant state • The Traveler and Paimon reject this world because a life without change or different experiences is meaningless • Aksinya departs, leaving the goggles behind as an empty, cold tool, the personality of their friend "Grey-Eye" seemingly lost or merged into the new "Primordial" core. stc. - via stepleaker #GenshinImpact
