being there with a now ex. it felt like the whole time up until she died was completely out of my hands, and it was (shut up) but it was so out of my hands its like my being there wasn’t even real. i was a piece of furniture. i was a crumbling pillar. in a chain of presence i was third place. first belonged to my father, (it was his mother) second was my mother (she struggles with religiosity, fear, the immortal soul, and death) third was me (i felt it could never be about me, this was her death after all. but i did, i had wants) and last was my now ex. who was out of his depths, but doing the most distant observations, playing support where he could pattern match. i remember thinking, “if i have to take care of you too while my own grandmother passes im gonna resent you” and so i stood third in line of presence, refusing to give in to wanting to dispose of my self entirely.

@TradAdvocate Her relationship with god is under developed & her relationship with herself is under developed- it is cruel for both the under age husband and wife to be pigeon holed into a commitment under the name of god with neither can fully fathom the commitment they’re signing up for yet.
