LIMPOPO TOP COP TO RETIRE Limpopo Police Commissioner Lt General Thembi Hadebe to Retire End of June Provincial Police Commissioner Lt General Thembi Hadebe has decided to retire from SAPS after her contract was not renewed on 1 May 2026. The announcement was made during the address of various SAPS stakeholders in the Vhembe District on Thursday. Lt General Hadebe is the first female provincial police commissioner in Limpopo. Hadebe succeeded Lt General Nneke Ledwaba on 1 May 2021. She has served in various levels of command throughout her 40 years of service. The Provincial Commissioner joined the service in 1986. She holds a diploma in Police Administration, a B Tech Degree in Policing, and an LLB with Unisa.

When did this meeting take place, and was it an official engagement, a private meeting, or a social encounter? 3. Are there any official records, declarations, or disclosures relating to this interaction? 4. How does this engagement align with prior public statements made by your office regarding your knowledge or relationship with Mr Chivayo? We have an immigration crisis in South Africa because of ZANU PF leadership in Zimbabwe and the FRELIMO leadership in Mozambique. To deal with immigration challenges which cost South Africa billions in service delivery we must deal with the root causes. ZANU and FRELIMO. We cannot in any way as South Africa associate with or assist Zanu PF to stay in power by illegitimate means. We cannot support term extensions and dictatorships. It is time to cut all ties with ZANU PF and its dodgy businessmen.

A security guard at Hayfields Primary School in Pietermaritzburg is being praised after he reportedly stayed behind long after his shift ended to protect two six-year-old learners allegedly left stranded outside school for more than five hours. The children had finished school at 12:30 but were still at the school gate at 18:00. The guard reportedly missed his own transport home while staying with the hungry and frightened children until help arrived. They were later taken to Alexandra SAPS, fed by Roman’s Pizza Hayfields, and eventually collected by a shocked family member. The school says it is now reviewing procedures to prevent a similar incident from happening again.

A woman who allegedly posed as a doctor at St Andrews Hospital in Harding has been arrested after it was discovered that she was not medically qualified. According to reports, the woman allegedly stole medical scrubs from another doctor at a hospital in Durban and used them to pretend to be a doctor under the name “Doctor Mhlongo.” It is alleged that real doctors at the hospital believed she was an intern doctor and had been interacting with her in hospital corridors without knowing she was fake. Further claims suggest the woman does not even have a matric certificate. The shocking incident has sparked outrage and disbelief among community members and social media users.

Mchunu has earlier today and after the initial court order granted barring him from making defamatory remarks, continued to do so. Mogotsi faces additional charges including: defeating ends of justice, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition. 2. #MatipandileSotheni, Former SAPS Special Task Force Member accused of murdering #WitnessD, Marius van der Merwe appeared in Court yesterday. He is now facing 16 charges including murder, 3 counts of attempted murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and theft. Bail application has been postponed to Thursday. 3. The Mpumalanga Magistrate’s Court struck off the #JoeSibanyoni & 3 other accused matter. Prosecutor failed to arrive and Magistrate also ordered Prosecutor to be arrested for contempt. 4. The NPA issued a statement yesterday expressing dismay on the Prosecutor’s conduct for non- appearance at the #JoeSibanyoni matter. Disciplinary hearing will be instituted against the Prosecutor and he’ll he suspended soon. Minister of Justice has welcomed the NPA’s stance. 5. The Mpumalanga SAPS has also issued a statement in relation to the #JoeSibanyoni matter and has said it has a strong case against him and his co-accused. 6.
