In Tamil Nadu's Koodankulam, an intriguing and mysterious event has come to light from a police sub-inspector who reported observing an unidentified flying object (UFO) last year. This sighting aligns with claims by Chennai-based UFO tracker Sabir Hussain about "mysterious" occurrences near nuclear facilities. A similar incident was reported in July 2023 when a retired Director General of Police (DGP) claimed to have seen unidentified objects along the Neelankarai-Mahabalipuram coastline. Both Kalpakkam and Koodankulam, the locations of these sightings, house nuclear power plants, suggesting a pattern that has intrigued UFO enthusiasts and researchers alike. According to reports, Sub-Inspector Syed Abdul Kader not only observed these UFOs but also managed to capture them on video, bolstering claims of their presence. His sightings, which began in 2020, include observations of the objects making zigzag movements before vanishing from view. After discussions with Hussain, Kader expressed certainty that what he witnessed were indeed UFOs, noting their unique motion and rapid disappearance as distinguishing characteristics. Despite these claims, there has been no official response from local authorities regarding the sightings. The phenomenon of UFO sightings is not unique to India, with numerous reports emerging from the United States and other parts of the world. Notably, a former Pentagon investigator reportedly briefed Congress on a 1964 incident involving a UFO interfering with an Atlas missile.
