I found a lesser spotted woodpecker nest in Devon last May. The brood of at least two was reared by the male, I never saw the female. Here he is with a beak full of black aphids which were the greater part of the diet. @BBCSpringwatch @EastDartmoorNNR @WildlifeMag @dartmoornpa @
