I think people don't realize why Gemini Omni is different than other video AIs. It is fully multimodal, so it can edit video natively, too I took the famous "train " movie from 1896 & made it a bullet train, LEGO, added a time traveler, a centipede, muppets... (see reflections?)

@Junglegsus @ObviousRises @DeliciousOwl Lmao the fact talent you jump to the conclusion that I cheat or even condone cheating says you're not actually thinking through your arguement. You'd be the same person that'd tie a rock to a lady and throw her into a river to see if she floats.

The most insane part is I'm pretty sure this isn't even legal, Riot Games is literally going to be destroying computers (with impunity) even if its a false positive or error, the Vanguard anti-cheat could also be exploited by hackers to brick millions of PCs... this isn't legal.
Dexerto@Dexerto

Riot Games have “bricked” $6,000 DMA cheating devices with their Vanguard anti-cheat The hardware is denied access to game memory, so cheaters can't play Riot titles

@ObviousRises @DeliciousOwl No, it’s not illegal. First off, it doesn’t brick PCs Secondly, the specific hardware used to cheat (which is crazy expensive), is blocked from accessing riot titles. The hardware is not “destroyed”, it becomes useless.

@FrybeamLLC @Grummz Reinstalling can cause major issues such as loss of vital documents. Not worth it. Plus you're adding massive security vulnerabilities that could be very easily exploited by nefarious actors. I understand the frustration with cheaters. I hate them too but this is not the answer.

@masterodst11 @Grummz It's not bricking anything. Worst case scenario is an operating system reinstall. 1 person has to reinstall Windows in exchange for 1000 cheaters being shut down? Worth

Riot is BRICKING cheating hardware that costs up to a grand to buy. DMA cards are hardware devices that plug into your PC and touch memory directly, bypassing the CPU and Windows. Riot is detecting them and destroying them permanently, posting to X to brag about it.

@FrybeamLLC @Grummz Actually fucked. For a game you'd rather someone innocent have their system bricked just to stop some cheaters. That's some real cut out their heart to stop the volcano type thinking.

Super excited to introduce SimWorld Studio!🏭 With built-in coding agent SimCoder🦞, you can vibe-code physical 3D scenes in Unreal Engine -- then train embodied agents directly inside the generated world.🦾 From environment generation to agent training, end-to-end. 🚀
SimWorld@simworld_ai

Environment generation is the missing scaling axis for embodied AI. Introducing SimWorld Studio: a self-evolving factory for endless interactive 3D env where agents act, fail & learn. Env-agent co-evolvution improves navigation success 50% → 90%. From a prompt, our SimCoder writes code to automatically build an interactive world. Agents train inside it. And their performance shapes the next world.

insanely cool Big step toward creating a Star Trek replicator. We will build it soon. IMO (with ASI help) we'll develop replicator like tech during the 2030s. It may sound too fast, but just imagine billions of AGI 'agents' working together, 1000s of times faster than any human, focused solely on this one technology. MIT just took a major step toward programmable matter MIT researchers have developed a way to "reprogram" materials by moving atoms inside a solid crystal lattice (not just on the surface). The breakthrough is that they did it quickly, precisely, and at room temperature. It wasn't possible before. Using algorithm controlled electron beams, the team can reposition columns of atoms with picometer level precision, creating custom atomic defects inside a material. In one demonstration, they made over 40,000 quantum defects in about 40 minutes inside a crystalline semiconductor. That is a huge leap from older atom by atom manipulation methods, which were slow, surface limited, and often required extreme lab conditions.

Microsoft has released a 4B parameter model that turns any image into a 3D asset in 3 seconds. It uses a new geometry format called O-Voxel that converts to a textured mesh in under 100ms on CUDA. Outputs GLB files with full PBR textures, ready for Blender, Unity, and Unreal. 100% Open Source.

RT-Splatting: Joint Reflection-Transmission Modeling with Gaussian Splatting Contributions: • We introduce a unified surface-volume Gaussian scene representation for jointly modeling sharp specular reflections and clear transmission in real-world scenes containing thin semi-transparent surfaces. • We propose Specular-Aware Gradient Gating to suppress misleading gradients from complex specular regions, substantially reducing floaters in the transmission branch. • Extensive experiments demonstrate that RT-Splatting significantly outperforms prior methods while maintaining real-time rendering and enabling flexible scene editing.

Okay folks, this qualifies as BREAKING NEWS! Harold “Sonny” White, the warp drive pioneer behind NASA’s EagleWorks Lab, just stepped out of stealth with Casimir Inc. to unveil MicroSPARC: the first battery free chip to harvest continuous electrical power straight from the quantum vacuum via the Casimir force. The 5 mm × 5 mm device uses millions of custom microscale Casimir cavities fabricated on a substrate. Inside each cavity, two fixed conductive walls create a region of negative vacuum pressure (the well known Casimir effect). Stationary micropillars anchored in the middle act as antennas. Electrons from the cavity walls then quantum tunnel to the pillars because the interior is a lower energy “quieter” zone — and the probability of tunneling back is orders of magnitude lower. This one way “quantum ratchet” flow generates a measurable DC current with no external power source or moving parts. Prototypes already fabricated at university nanofab facilities (Texas A&M AggieFab, MIT.nano) have been tested in RF-shielded, low noise chambers for weeks. The team reports outputs ranging from millivolts to volts at picoamp to microamp levels using precision electrometers and Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy. Target performance for the first commercial chip: ~1.5 V at 25 µA (≈40 µW continuous). Stacking and scaling could reach milliwatts or even watts per device. Initial applications are ultra low power: always on IoT sensors, wearables, and medical implants. Longer term roadmap includes trickle charging phones, powering small electronics, and eventually grid independent homes or EVs. Commercialization is targeted for 2028, starting at ~$100/W before dropping toward $10/W. White ties the work directly to his earlier theoretical paper on emergent quantization from a dynamic vacuum and sees it as a practical power source for the deep-space missions he’s long championed. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and independent scientists have so far declined public comment. But if the engineering scales as hoped, MicroSPARC would represent a genuine paradigm shift: continuous, maintenance free power drawn from the fabric of spacetime itself. A bold leap from warp-drive theory into real hardware. Progress (and vacuum-powered chips) marches on. Photo: MicroSPARC | Casimir Inc. Source: thedebrief.org/free-energy-fr…

A woman parked in the wrong spot at an apartment complex. The parking spot owner complained to the facilities manager, who called a towing company. The tow truck arrived 2 hours earlier than the agreed time. After some arguments, calls, and denials, the car was released to her without any towing fee.
