The French are kicked out of several African countries for destroying those nations, but the Kenya president invites them in together with their troops! spent my saturday vibe-tuning another Kalenjin LoRA. this time SWAHILI to KALENJIN model on top of @metaai's nllb-200-distilled-600m.
open sourced the site for you to test it as well powered by @modal for inference and @vercel for app hosting.
data is still a huge challenge. not a lot of data and the quality is not great either. seems very prevalent for most African low-resource languages.
got plans for more of these for other low-resource languages in Kenya.
