🚨Starting our Sunday with our Epoch 5 Allocation Window 🚨 anddddd 🥁🥁🥁🥁 our BIGGEST redesign yet. Say hello to Octant 1.5 🥳🥳🥳 If you’ve been on our app, you’ll see it looks sooo much swankier. So here’s the tldr: ➡️ We’ve got a brand- new desktop UI ➡️ We’ve designed a better reporting display ➡️ An updated anti-sybil process (we really encourage you to read the full blog for detailed updates) 💚 You asked and we delivered. A huge shoutout to all of you for the amazing feedback. Thank YOU for making time for interviews, surveys, and generously sharing your thoughts. It’s helped us drive changes forward. We’re committed to listening and making Octant better for you 💝 We’re sharing the changes in detail, our development process, and the why behind these changes. All that and more (in the next tweet)

1/ Exciting update for the Octant community! The Epoch Two allocation window is now open until Jan 31, 2024. It's your chance to decide where your rewards will go: Keep them, donate some or all to public goods, or contribute to the Matching Fund! Thread👇

@jensei_ @OctantApp They go back to Golem Foundation, but are restaked, so they contribute to growth of the rewards pool over time

@OctantApp Interesting to see the ratio of donation vs. personal 🤔 Curious about the unused rewards and how could that be potentially utilized towards below/above threshold 🐙 also does these accrue over time or they simply go back to golem? 👀

@Matt_Innes Hey Matt, thanks for the nudge. Does the behavior persist when you use a different browser / incognito mode? What if you used the browser on your phone? Let us know, and we'll go from there!

I just finished my allocations in epoch one of @OctantApp ! Passed on my staking rewards to @hypercerts , @rotkiapp & @gitcoin Octant is the most exciting new project in the public goods space. They've staked 100k eth and anyone locking GLM tokens gets to either claim a portion of staking rewards for themselves or pass it on to public good projects I loved the clean UI & overall experience of 3 step checkout; 1. I ♥️ projects 2. I play with a slider to choose how much of the staking rewards i keep for myself versus passing on to my ♥️ projects 3. i sign a transaction confirming my choice (no gas fees yaaay) Here's the math of how octant works; - Currently, ~14.5% of all GLM is locked into Octant, entitling lockers to 14.5% of the rewards from the 100k ETH staked - The remaining 85.5% rewards are distributed to public good projects as a matching pool - the allocation of the matching pool depends on how the lockers distribute their rewards between projects The estimated matching of my distribution is currently 39x 🤯

🚀 Octant is ready for takeoff! 🚀 We're super happy to announce the launch of our app - a platform for experiments in decentralized governance that reward active participation with $ETH. (1/9)

If tea spread to your country by sea you call it tea, if it spread by land you call it chai. This is because the ports of Fujian and Taiwan use the coastal pronunciation "te", whereas Mandarin uses "chá"
