@InfiniteDodger @ShoTimeLa17 Lmao so your one of those “fans” he is a 5th starter and just because his potential is high doesn’t mean that’s how you should view him now. If you don’t see the improvements and potential then open your eyes

@ShoTimeLa17 You know as well as I do he was never meant to be a 5th starter. I'm posting the way I am because many fans still think of him as a potential future ace.

4.91 ERA for Roki Sasaki over these last two outings where I'm seeing many fans say he's looking "improved" ...

@Coyotee21 @MrAzSports Holy that already is an overpay and why would they give up more rounded players for a guy you’d have to throw out in the outfield again becaus e of ohtani

@StillBumpy @Pepper0609 @MLBNerds Ya a yordan that can’t play the outfield and the dh spot is already taken by a better player. So yes that is an overpay for what he would be on the dodgers.

@KevinWa93333440 @noahcamras Many young pitchers struggle with command early. In Japan it was never an issue he needs time and continues to get better every start.

@medinar93 @noahcamras He battled I’ll give him that. But he doesn’t seem to have great control, and the fastball has to be on point.

Roki Sasaki just put together his best start of the season for the Dodgers: 6 IP 5 H 3 ER 2 BB 4 K 104 pitches/11 whiffs He retired the final 10 batters he faced. His season ERA is now 5.97.

Incase you weren’t watching, his fastball is just not there. Or at least not as advertised. He gave up warning track shots every inning. He’s not cutting it for me in my book. I’m not “giving up” by any means, but that fastball of his is concerning. That thing was 101 102 in Japan. What happened?

@Klein25 Lmao using a magical number instead of looking at what was going on. He had 1 bad inning where he threw a bad pitch. Otherwise it was a great start got to 2 strikes on many guys. Retired last 10.

Every outing by Roki Sasaki has been a disaster. The guy has shed more tears than quality starts. Enough is enough with this gas can.

@MpzOu812 Well I disagree, a baserunner and a half per inning pitched with only 4 K's over 6 isn't that impressive to me. In fact that is not the ERA of a "good" starting pitcher even without considering the underlying stuff

The thing that bothers me is the Dodgers don't seem to be effectively helping Roki Sasaki develop. Their philosophy of "letting guys be who they are" is nice and all but some players just need overhauls to become better. Roki Sasaki is legitimately not a good starting pitcher.

Roki needs to trust his slider more. Can’t get by with 2 pitches. Most hitters are just sitting fastball against him

@cubservatory @sunshinevvn I’m proving that y’all would complain no matter what he if counted for. Dodgers still have the same number of guys as everyone else. They also have the same ability to allow players to do both.

@PatrickH144 @Shaft442 @FoulTerritoryTV They still carry the same amount of players as any other team. If he counted against them as a pitcher guess what they’d have an extra bench bat.

@Shaft442 @FoulTerritoryTV But a two way player already gives you a roster advantage. I don’t see why that rule needs to exist.

Craig Counsell doesn’t appear to be a fan of the rule where two-way players aren't counted against the 13-pitcher roster limit: “And then there’s one team that’s allowed to carry basically one of both, and that he gets special consideration. Which is probably the most bizarre rule. ... For one team.” (Via: @AP)

@medinar93 @M_Ski22 Pepiot had not played a full season until he went to the Rays. Stone has not played in a MLB game since 2024 & that is inconsistent (albeit due to injury). Look at Woo, Gilbert, & Kirby. All drafted & developed by the M's. All have multiple quality seasons & all very consistent.

So many love to complain about the Dodgers' spending, but let's not forget about their Scouts, Player Dev, and FO. They turned Gavin Lux into Mike Sirota, a Top 50 prospect and Charles Davalan, who has one of the best hit tools in the Minors. 🤯

@KyleWeatherly6 @M_Ski22 What does that have to do with anything dodgers developed him brought him up and he show cased enough to be the main package in a glasnow trade. Being hurt doesn’t mean you are inconsistent as a pitcher. Mariners are one of the few exceptions to them not being a #3 starter

@KyleWeatherly6 @M_Ski22 Oh wow a month of a season takes away what he did last season plus before his surgery. Pepiot was in the bigs before he was traded and was good as well. But he was young. Please tell me how stone has been inconsistent in his 1 season of work in which he was the ace of the team

@medinar93 @M_Ski22 Sheehan has stunk this year. Pepiot was pretty good, but did not really become a reliable SP until the Rays helped him figure it out, Stone has been very inconsistent, & Wrobleski is hardly proven. Now Seattle has drafted & developed Woo, Kirby, Gilbert, etc.
