@MillwallTT I got tickets for Oxford on general sale, I fully understand that the club should have made provision to sell to Members first as they will do with a potential Playoff game I wouldn't have had any issues missing out to Members, at least I would know they are real fans

The Oxford game should have been sold in a priority fashion as we have with away games. They went on sale long before the match, so should have easily been able to factor in an extra week.
Millwall Supporters’ Club@TheMillwallFans

@TheMillwallFans has been in on-going discussions with the @MillwallFC over ticketing and - in particular - the availability of tickets for our last home match of the season against Oxford and touts / resell sites obtaining tickets and exploiting genuine fans with extortionate prices and admin charges. In the case of Oxford tickets - 6;000 were available for general sale via the club (Ticketmaster do not sell club tickets, the club uses a system provided by Ticketmaster but controls all sales themselves). Of these, 284 ST holders bought additional tickets alongside 1,171 members. The club are investigating 13 accounts that were set up at the time the tickets went on sale and 147 existing accounts that bought tickets for the match as their first purchase this season. In addition to this, the club are monitoring the accounts of those who purchased half season tickets late in the season. It is the case that online resell sites often don’t actually have the tickets they’re offering and either reimburse a purchase closer to the date or simply scam money from fans as they do not have the tickets in the first place. It is undoubtably the case that some Season Ticket holders have sought to exploit the fantastic season we’ve had and sold their tickets to resell sites for profit. The MSC can never accept fans ripping off other fans in this way and continue to discuss options for dealing with this with the club. This is, of course, a huge issue and one that will become greater if we’re successful in winning promotion to the Premier League. We welcome the decision of the club to establish an internal resale scheme for next season and they will make it very clear that fans identified selling their tickets to rip off sites given this could find their season tickets voided. Given the number of sold out games this season it’s not surprising that touts are seeking to pick up tickets and resell at huge profit from genuine fans desperate to see the match. We, like the club, condemn those ripping you off and we’ll continue to work with the club to find ways of supporting genuine fans and stopping touts and others from exploiting you. #millwallfans #millwallsupportersclub #millwallfc

Still struggling to get my head around the 3/4 long throws from Zak in succession. The first one closest to box didn’t reach intended target. So we decided to pursue with same tactic despite moving back 10 yards for each one. Think one led to a goal. Just poor decision making from us today.

There is no way I would have remained as calm and articulate as @_ConnieShaw in the face of such obtuse and ignorant questioning by someone intent on never letting her finish a sentence. Excellent work.

Matthew Wright proves our point on LBC this morning. The official definition of Islamophobia — now repackaged as “anti-Muslim hostility” — is already silencing legitimate debate and criticism of Islam and its practices. It amounts to a de facto Muslim blasphemy law. The treatment of Nick Timothy by Labour MPs is deeply sinister. The Shadow Justice Secretary criticised mass Muslim prayer in Trafalgar Square, was reported to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, branded “Islamophobic”, and faced calls to resign from Labour MPs and even the Prime Minister. This morning, FSU External Affairs Officer @_ConnieShaw was invited on to discuss the comments made by Nick Timothy. Matthew Wright didn’t want to hear it. After the interview, he told another guest he had “closed her down” because she was “putting out anti-Muslim hatred”. Farcical. In a crowded field, Matthew is this week’s runner up as for chief enforcer of the blasphemy law this week. 👏

I try not to be one of these FA anti-Millwall conspiracy theorists. But that today was a fucking disgrace and it’s difficult to not think there’s something behind it all. Whole thing fucking stinks.

If you doubt a ground closure is a very serious option... Then here are extracts from the Palace Written Reasons which make it clear what punishement the FA wanted and how the commission felt about that and consequences of a home game. #Millwall

I’ve been a Millwall fan for too long to get carried away. I’m old enough to remember our promotion to Div 1 in the 80s and I see many similarities between the two teams coincidentally we were managed by Scottish manager then too. I’m soaking up to what may be a memorable season.

This FA charge. It’s not good.. The FA wanted to close our ground as punishment. If you’ve not read the written reasons FA report it’s here below so take the time. It’s horrendous on many levels and in some parts doesn’t reflect well on the club however the hearing commission have gone to town on us based on the FA’s submission. But… It makes it clear next stop if any further infringements of this nature it is very highly likely we will face a partial or full ground closure. It states the club have to implement a revised action, two things it includes; 1) Introduce an incentive scheme for stewards for a broad range of measures to reward stewards who demonstrate vigilance and professionalism in identifying and reporting discriminatory incidents, pro-activity, good standing with the fans. 2) ) In the event that hate-driven or discriminatory comments are posted in response to anti-discrimination content, the Club will work with the UK Football Policing Unit (UKFPU) and Metropolitan Police to identify and take action against offenders. Among many other points. Report ⬇️ #Millwall thefa.com/-/media/files/…

Just heard from a taxi driver how @JeremyVineOn5 cycled up to his cab at a traffic light and filmed him with his camera and then reported him to police. Taxi driver got a 6 points and a 500 pound fine. What a nasty thing to do -taxi wasn’t moving and as soon as it moved he would have stopped talking Vine should start reporting cyclists rushing through red lights if he wants to play tell tale

Hi David, I have no idea if you are just ignorant of the facts or if your Prime Minister has set you an example of telling blatant lies and hoping people believe them, but I am afraid this is just utter garbage. The good news is that if you think it already happens then presumably you will have no problem in agreeing to my Bill to make it ‘compulsory’. Although I suspect logic is as alien to you as the truth.
David Pinto-Duschinsky MP@DavidPintoD

Halal & Kosher meat is already labelled. The claims she makes about stunning are contested. This isn’t about animal welfare. It’s about dog whistles that brand minorities & their religious practices as cruel. I expected this of Rupert Lowe, who sponsored a Westminster Hall debate on this a few months ago-but am shocked that senior Tories are following his lead.

A couple of weeks ago, HOPE Not Hate ran a 'story' on its website saying my "association with Epstein's circle" needed to be "scrutinised" because, as per the latest batch of the Epstein files, I sent two emails to Ghislaine Maxwell, one in 2001, the other in 2002, six years before Epstein pleaded guilty to child sexual offences. This was in spite of the fact that I told the 'journalist' writing the piece that I'd never met Epstein, never spoken to him, never emailed him, never traded messages with him, never been to any of his homes, never been on the Lolita Express, never been to Paedo Island, etc, etc. Nevertheless, according to HOPE Not Hate, the fact that I'd emailed his ex-girlfriend twice, 25 and 24 years ago, meant I now needed to be investigated. Today, the BBC reported that a former Labour Councillor, Liron Velleman, has pleaded guilty to child sexual offences. That's the same Liron Velleman who in 2022 gave evidence to a House of Commons Committee scrutinising the Online Safety Bill where he was described as a "political organiser" for HOPE Not Hate. According to the pro-censorship lobby group's own logic, shouldn't all its employees and volunteers, who have a much closer link to this convicted sex offender than I ever did with Epstein, now be investigated? I look forward to HOPE Not Hate's response. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Ellie Chowns has lied to Parliament. The ICJ has not said "the Israeli government's actions in Gaza amount to genocide" - it is reviewing these accusations and is not expect to deliver its verdict until 2028. I look forward to the Speaker taking appropriate disciplinary action.
Dr Ellie Chowns MP@EllieChowns

Lawyers, genocide scholars, the ICJ, & the UN Commission of Inquiry state the Israeli govt's actions in Gaza amount to genocide - so why does the UK maintain there is no plausible risk of genocide, in the face of overwhelming evidence? Why does the UK continue to be complicit?

Rising star of the criminal Bar, Kate O’Raghallaigh—based at Starmer’s beloved Doughty Street Chambers—spoke at the FSU’s jury trial event last week. Kate has handled some of the biggest cases in recent years, including appeals against the guilty verdicts handed down to postmasters following the Horizon scandal. She said David Lammy’s claim that people who elect for a jury trial are “gaming the system” is outrageous. Kate argues that the irreplaceable life experience jurors bring helps “level state overreach,” thanks to their ability to nullify prosecutions that defy common sense. Watch Kate below 👇

You think British parties are crooked? Just wait till Reform takes power
Pippa Crerar@PippaCrerar

A few people have asked about this fascinating story by our @rowenamason (which others have followed up/ expanded on) so am sharing here 👇 She revealed last week that Nigel Farage’s trip to Davos was hosted and paid for by the $10bn family trust of an Iranian-born billionaire. The trust is not Reform’s only link to the Ghandehari family. Last year, she reported that Reform UK received £200k in donations from a small design and architecture firm that had faced a winding-up petition from HMRC. Interior Architecture Landscape - which is run by a man called John Simpson - confirmed to her last week that the Ghandehari family are its clients. A spokesperson said its decision to donate the money to Reform was made independently by the company’s management, and not the Ghandehari family itself.
