Centre right politics, Reform UK member, had enough of the left wing MSM who think they dictate. Free speech is important.

Obviously there's a long way to go. But one thing I'd be prepared to bet money on. Whatever the accuracy of that poll, the Lib Dem and Green vote will get squeezed more in Labour's favour. And Restore will secure a higher vote share than they're currently polling.

@DPJHodges It’s been natural Labour territory until now, hopefully not much longer

@mikeshrop So you'd have to been happier if I'd written Makerfield is natural Burnham territory.

To summarise what I found in Makerfield: * It's Reform territory. In any other context this would be an easy Reform win * The Burnham effect is real. Local people view him as one of their own. * Restore have more of a presence that I anticipated. They may well be a factor

🚨🚨MAY STARMADA: DAY 2🚣‍♂️🚣‍♂️ Hundreds of illegal immigrants are currently heading towards Britain – adding to the 400+ that arrived yesterday With two more days of calm weather, we could see a small army of men here before the Bank Holiday is done gbnews.com/news/migrant-c…

This is a real quote from Andy Burnham. We doubt he will be putting it on his leaflets in Makerfield.

@Sammyjo1954 @DPJHodges He did say he wants Burnham to win, after all he is his mate so Hodges can’t be classed as a serious journalist. He’s a Reform antagonist so expect more many biased tweets in the coming weeks

Proof @DPJHodges is just a lefty shill. He has ignored every person who explained what happened in Makerfield. It was obvious to everyone what happened. Dan has done nothing but castigate Reform and praise Burnham Shame on you Dan x.com/DPJHodges/stat…
(((Dan Hodges)))@DPJHodges

Just as I predicted. Reform's latest strategy is to get The National Pulse, a US based MAGA web site - run by former Nigel Farage aide @RaheemKassam - to start attacking the Makerfield charity and its director. Top strategy guys...

@LeeHarris Absolutely correct. Unfortunately if Labour win Makerfield, we don’t get a GE though, we get another lame PM voted into office by a tiny percentage of the electorate.

Keir Starmer is the most vile, morally bankrupt, dishonest, anti-British, and corrupt prime minster this country has *ever* seen. He should be booted out of office in DISGRACE and arrested for treason! We need a general election.

If Robert Kenyon becomes an MP, I’ll find his story rather inspiring. A working class plumber, Army Reservist, down to earth guy who beat cancel culture. It would be much more inspiring than the usual think tank/parliamentary assistant turned MP stories. A breath of fresh air.

@DPJHodges The by election is ugly on its own, one constituency voting for a new PM is ugly. Who caused that….. Labour

If, as seems likely, Reform are going to get their US based MAGA social media network to start running attack operations in Makerfield this by-election is going to get very ugly, very quickly.

Going to say it again. And Reform supporters can express as much outrage as they like. The current strategy of setting Reform's MAGA attack dogs against local people in Makerfield is insane. And it's going to cost them dearly.

@DPJHodges You’re hate of Reform shows you’re rattled. Your support of your mate Burnham shows your true colours, hardly an impartial journalist.

@DPJHodges Hardly an objective journalist then, in fact to use slurs like “plucky Plumber” means you’re not even a journalist but an agitator. You obviously wanted Starmer removed to get your mate Burnham elected.

Just to be clear, because it's going to be a long by-election. I know Andy Burnham and like him. I hope he wins in Makerfield, because I don't think the current situation with Keir Starmer is sustainable (as I've written on several occasions). But the crucial thing is that at the moment I think he will win. So I'm going to write about why. Others can get excited about Brexit and Plucky Plumbers. But I think to date Burnham's perfectly framed his campaign as the local, anti-establishment insurgent. When I was in Gorton no-one ever mentioned a single current or historic policy position for any of the candidates. I expect it to be the same in Makerfield. If that changes, I'll write about that too. If people find that problematic other outlets are available. Like Socialist Worker. Or Bloomberg...

Makerfield was Andy Burnham’s back up plan. For Robert Kenyon, it’s his home. This battle will be David Vs Goliath.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda. And when I urged him to use his position as PM to leave the ECHR so we could stop the boats, he refused. He couldn’t even bring himself to put it in the Tory manifesto. Yet he kept promising the British people that he would do ‘whatever it takes’! Never trust the Tory Party.
David Frost@DavidGHFrost

It's no good complaining now. Rishi Sunak had every chance to set out a vision during his two years as Prime Minister. The Tory Party would absolutely have got behind a properly conservative view. Instead we got nothing for a year, & then A-level reform and the smoking ban.

@mtuj1974 @DPJHodges A vote for him to be PM is what they are being asked, that’s wrong on many levels and Reform will expose that

@DPJHodges I think Reform will be much smarter than that, and campaign on one glaring fact: that the voters are being cynically used as a stepping stone for one man's self-indulgent and egotistical tilt at the top job

Look, we’ve got a by-election coming up, and we’ll all know the result soon. But trust me. If Reform wander round Makerfield saying “vote for us to save Brexit!!!” while Burnham is saying “vote for me to show Starmer the door” Burnham walks it.
