@mmburton I understand and appreciate that! But what is within city councils sphere of control, then?
Are there not approaches you can take to regulate or cap the growing short term rental market?
Or ensure at least some of the housing being built is affordable/non market?

30+ years of financialization says otherwise. When we treat housing as an investment opportunity supply-side arguments just don’t hold up.
We need to start asking what type of housing is being built, who’s building it, and who it is being built for.
