As a trans girl, I use the woman's bathroom when I'm out & about. I have for a bit over three years now.. I thought id take the time to share a list of all the times other woman have had a problem with me being there, 1. They havent.. not once.

The misunderstanding Lola is running into here is that genitalia preference is valid, and no one is saying otherwise. But being a Lesbian is not an attraction to someone's primary sexual characteristics. In other words, we aren't talking about someone's genitalia or the size of their gametes. A lesbian is a woman who experiences romantic, emotional, or sexual attraction toward other women. As much as this includes cisgender women, it also includes trans and intersex women. Why do suddenly girls announce they are trans. They would never admit these are the real reasons before it’s too late. By listening to children and young adults- including my daughter- who have shed their "trans identity", I have found that the following are common reasons they believed they were trans in the first place. Oftentimes, it is a combination of these reasons: 1. I had a poor self-image(skin, hair, height, etc.) 2. My breasts were either too small(to feel like a woman) or too big(I didn't like how men looked at them). 3. I didn't fit in because I have autism. 4. I thought you had to wear makeup and long hair to be a woman. 5. I hated wearing a bra. 6. I didn't like having a period every month. 7. I thought I could change my sex. 8. I was a lonely, depressed(especially during pandemic), and socially awkward kid. 9. I was groomed online by trans mentors. 10. I have experienced sexual trauma/abuse. 11. I come from a dysfunctional family. 12. I thought it would be cool to be different/I thought being trans was cool. 13. My friend/lover encouraged me to be a trans. 14. I hated myself, and being trans felt like a way to start from zero. 15. I wanted to change the world(political reasons). 16. I felt that living as a woman is dangerous. 17. I felt that living as a woman is expensive. 18. I noticed that people respect you more if you are a man. 19. I thought men were less objectified. 20. I thought it was a way to build my 'authentic' self. I hope this helps other families whose children are suffering from gender dysphoria.

I don’t demand anything. I just go into the women’s bathroom. Go into a stall. Pee. Wash my hands and leave. All I’m asking for is to not be used as a political tool to distract commoners from real issues in the world and to not be hate crimed.

I’m a woman. Gender identity is a feeling. It is your brain. You cannot fully grasp it. I cannot use gametes, chromosomes or reproductive organs to prove to others who I am inside. This makes it hard to explain how I know I’m a woman. I just am one. And I’m happier as one.
