We were really pleased with the strong turnout at our Crime Prevention Event on Saturday, @Tesco Rainham and the positive engagement from the local community These events are about giving residents practical advice to help keep themselves, their homes and their vehicles safe.

On Thursday, 7 May, Romford TCT in partnership with Havering CCTV operators, arrested 17yr-old boy on suspicion of Possession with intent to supply and Possession of an offensive weapon. This was achieved with the support from our partners in Havering CCTV and HJTF.

Officers on patrol in South Street, Romford, spotted a suspicious car. The driver made off on foot but was detained after a pursuit through nearby gardens. Cannabis, cash & phones seized. Man charged with possession with intent to supply & is due to appear in court this month.

We are pleased with the court’s ruling and will continue to use Live Facial Recognition to keep Londoners safe. Live Facial Recognition helps officers make over 2,000 arrests since 2024, targeting dangerous offenders and keeping London safer.

The Metropolitan Police has won a judicial review into the use of Live Facial Recognition across London. The court concluded the Met’s policy complies with human rights law and contains clear and effective safeguards.

On Monday 20th April, Collier Row NPT were on mobile patrols @Kiln Wood Lane & St Johns Road The area known for ASB and drug use. 2 men were searched and arrested for possession of class B drugs. Both men were issued with £90 fines for possession of drugs.
