Cohen named OUA Rookie of the Year; Badgers receive two all-star selections gobadgers.ca/news/2024/10/2…
English

@SleeperMets Wow. Tong has not been good in the Bigs last year or anywhere this year. Not expecting much.
English

@ottowner @metsbatflip1 He’s young. Give the kid a chance. He’s got a lot of talent and brains. Had a fantastic outing today!
English

@metsbatflip1 Tong is terrible. He will never be a reliable Major League starter. They had an opportunity to trade him, and the blew it.
English

@Miggysbat The Baseball Players Association were the only ones fighting it, otherwise it would have been implemented much sooner. Even the Umpires Union was for it.
English

@L65094341 @bobbyburke17 @Jared_Carrabis To me it just looked like a hyperextended knee causing a hamstring injury….but we’ll see.
English

@E0_DS0_Omega @wildhockeydude @MLB @BlueJays Would you also say it means nothing if he went 0 for 30 during Spring Training?
English

@wildhockeydude @MLB @BlueJays not rage bait just pattern recognition. dudes made of glass. call me in october if hes still standing
English

@rocknrollofall I’m pretty sure that many of the bands she likes would list the Beatles as one of their influences.
English

@cshanny56 @TSN_Sports It’s terrible! They should at least admit that there is an issue.
English

@BRWalkoff The NL Cy Young award, Yoshi Yamamoto won 3 games in WS, come on!!
English

@1414Maple @RachelKryshak There were actually two Toronto sports writers that voted. Only one had Schneider as Manager of the Year!
English

@RachelKryshak Because it’s the American Sports writers who vote.
They were not voting for a Canadian team manager
English

@MrNeu_ @jonmorosi @officialBBWAA @MLBNetwork One of the Toronto writers Rosie DiMano voted for Vogt!
English

@jonmorosi @officialBBWAA @MLBNetwork John Schneider not winning is an absolute joke. MLB and its writers hate Canada. No chance Schneider deserves second place
English

Congratulations to Stephen Vogt on his second consecutive AL Manager of the Year Award!
I was among the @officialBBWAA voters.
My ballot was as follows:
1. John Schneider
2. Stephen Vogt
3. Dan Wilson

@WhitMerrifield @bobatyork Running through is faster than sliding….this has been studied and tested.
English

@bobatyork I don’t know about running through home. Maybe sliding head first. I’ve always been a believer head first is faster.
English

He did exactly right here. The #1 rule with bases loaded and less than 2 outs is you cannot get doubled up on a line drive to 3rd baseman. So your lead is as far as the 3rd baseman is from the bag. He did this perfect.
Chris Kirschner@ChrisKirschner
IKF's small lead and a lack of a secondary was the difference for Toronto not winning a title.
English

@WestsideFireman @TaylorTwellman Sliding slows down the runner…it was a force play at home…no need to slide!
English

@TaylorTwellman Or why he wouldn’t slide head first; had he done that I think his hand beats the throw.
English

@SDRainier25 @ChrisKirschner Why slide at all?! It was a force play at home!
English

@ChrisKirschner Great stats! Despite that, a head first slide may have made the difference. But it shouldn’t have mattered if he had just gotten a better lead and secondary. Inexcusable.
English

@mike_petriello Why slide on a force out…no need to slow down with a slide!!!
English

On a clear ball 4, Varsho thinks he walked, Bo Bichette thinks he’s going to 2nd, ump somehow makes a late strike 3 call. What the hell was that @mlb
#worldseries
English

Pitch 4: Called Ball
Pitch 5: Called Strike
It is the WORLD SERIES WHAT ARE WE DOING

Just Baseball@JustBB_Media
Oh no Bo Bichette… Bo gets picked off because he thought Daulton Varsho walked 😬
