Rant on blaming refs in close games: fans are blaming the refs for today’s L. Yes there were certainly questionable calls, at beat. Some clearly wrong….. but on State’s last drive, they had to convert 2 4th downs. One was a huge gain and the other was a TD for the game I’m sure they missed some calls on Arkansas too. I just think it’s lazy thinking to blame close losses on refs Last time i went off on the refs was the Memphis game when the Memphis player shoved the Arkansas defender to the ground, before he made the TD catch. If the ref called the blatant OPI there, Arkansas wins that game. We also fumbled late in the game and in the red zone when a FG would have won it, so even then, don’t put full blame on the refs. I see Florida and Arkansas fans blaming today’s L on the refs… but both games were several opportunities to win, and just didn’t make the play. I think blaming the refs for close Ls is an easy cop out, and honestly, lazy thinking that every fanbase does…. Even when their team failed to capitalize on game ending plays that would have resulted in a W. We also went 3 and out before punting to MSU for their last drive. We just don’t know how to finish games, when we have it. We invent ways to lose. It’s crazy Refs certainty impact wins and losses, but to blame the loss on the refs alone is lazy to me. Also kinda narcissistic, depending on how it’s said Rant over
