I asked Grok to make an Earthworm Jim clone. It's already asking for sprites. This is a crude start but you can see now that all game players can become game designers. The medium of any art form is to serve the people, not the artist. Industrialization inverted that when expertise allowed a programmer or artist to hold a company hostage. You have artists who can't code and you have programmers who can't draw so it STOPS innovation and game creation unless you meet their salary demands. So now we get to the meat of what art is. Before AI, the artist or programmer saw most expression as transactional, pay me or I won't create. That's anti-creation. God didn't make everything as a transaction, it came from his character and person. AI will allow everyone to fulfill their charter to be what Tolkien called a "sub-creator." We make because we are. I have worked in VR for 10 years. To see Meta still push this seriously as the future of social interaction is honestly depressing. To see brilliant technology like VR run by corporate clowns who don’t even care about the technology. I am saddened and disgusted.

@WarClandestine I don't know why it's so hard for people to believe. All of the shares in a variety of medical supply companies, and vaccine manufacturers bought up prior to the pandemic should be enough of a "well, duh" moment.

Meta considers VR a failure if Horizon Worlds isn’t successful. This is really bad. There is no way that dumpster fire of a platform is going to work. No matter how hard they force it on people. So after the Quest platform dies, who picks up the pieces? Valve?
