When your colleagues and stakeholders are not demonstrating an understanding of MTSS as a school improvement framework it may be time to evaluate your communication plan. How will they deepen understanding? What resources are accessible to you to develop clarity around MTSS?

MTSS is not more. It is doing what you have identified as what is best for your students: with proper teacher support with fidelity with data with problem solving to ensure every student is getting what they need. Let's just make sure what we are doing is working.
