Super League doesn’t attract big sponsors because the league format constantly changes, until recently some stadiums hadn’t been renovated since the 70’s and club owners are constantly bickering amongst themselves. Wigan naming a young team in May has zero impact on sponsorship.

Spectators have paid for this, Sky have paid for this, sponsors are sponsoring this. It’s bringing the game into disrepute, impacting the integrity of the competition. A ridiculous decision from what we’re told are the “benchmark” club. Luckily for them @TheRFL have no backbone

@AaronBower Is it any wonder why @TheRFL can't attract blue chip sponsors? Disrespectful to the paying customers, tv companies, subscribers and sponsors. Clubs know they can do what they want, when they want because the RFL won't do anything to upset any of them.

Two sides to every story. Wigan entitled to prepare for Wembley however the hell they want. I understand the Salford comparisons too. But atmosphere at Craven Park is dead, and this quite simply isn't a good look for Super League nine days out from a cup final.
