They also will not tell you they are testing for it, nor will it be clear to you after the fact why the test was even performed

In America, if you go to the hospital, they will neither look at your medical records for your blood type nor ask you; instead they will charge you $1500 to run a test for it

@musevisits @bowtiedstocks Especially. Anywhere that has grossly deviated from whatever the local wages can practically support is in the grips of a speculative bubble. GC apartment market is absolutely disgusting & rife with structurally bad financials

@IonaItalia @BovyMaltz It is illegal in Australia. Unfortunately. Only thing that works for me. It's an analgesic primarily, and has a couple of upstream effects on the biochemical pathways of endo

@musevisits @BovyMaltz I didn't mean it sarcastically. I've never heard of metamizole. I will look into it (though I don't have endo myself).

I've had friends who suffered from endometriosis—a friend with three kids told me it was worse pain than giving birth. I endorse this. I don't find knowing facts about a person's genitalia dehumanising, just as I didn't find knowing facts about a dog's penis disgusting. 1/
Bryan Johnson@bryan_johnson

Examining Kate’s 1% She has suspected endometriosis. This affects at least 1 in 10 women, likely more. Here she’s getting an ultrasound. Historically you needed surgery just to diagnose it (incisions are made in the abdomen). We're doing a non-invasive route. Typically women live with endometriosis for 7-10 years before being diagnosed. It’s the leading reason women aged 30 to 34 get hysterectomies (permanent surgery to entirely remove the uterus). This condition is where endometrial-like tissue starts growing outside the uterus, in ovaries, bowel, bladder, even the diaphragm. This tissue inflames, scars, and glues organs together. Our first step is to find out if @_katetolo has it. Initial measurements we’re doing: + trans vaginal ultrasound + pelvic MRI w and w/o contrast + hormonal labs All during the early part of her cycle to get the clearest picture. During her ultrasound, a slim probe, about the width of two fingers, 10-12 inches long (although only a small portion is inserted) is covered with a protective sheath and lubricant and gently inserted into the vagina (patient has to empty their bladder first). This creates real-time images of the uterus, ovaries, and surrounding pelvic structures. While inserted, the probe is turned 90 degrees to evaluate all the various structures, angles and views. There is no radiation exposure. The technician is looking for scarring, ovarian cysts, adhesions, and for organs that are fused together with tissue. This ultrasound can confirm endometriosis but it cannot rule it out. What endo does to the body: + 90% report pelvic pain + 50% report severe fatigue + 26% report infertility. However many sources cite 30 to 50 percent. + 50% experience pain during sex. + Many have pain with ovulation, bowel movements, and urination + Severe bloating called “endo belly” where the abdomen visibly distends There are a handful of theories about why endometriosis develops but the honest answer is no one is quite sure. We’ll keep you posted on her results.

@celestialxsigh He hasn't and won't. Metamizole works. No one interest because only eastern European women solved endo. Gotta wait for metamizole to be discovered by Bryan.

@bowtiedstocks Few seem mentally prepared for the market psychology of a downturn in a highly levered, illiquid asset class Bleed thousands each month, holding ONLY on the promise that number go up If number go down big+for long time, fear will cause a rush for the exit Exit door very small

Most Aussies I don’t think were interested in entering a propadee market casino where the risks of them being financially obliterated and wiped out just from buying a home are extremely probable But alas, unfortunately that is where things have got to for us as a nation…

@IonaItalia @BovyMaltz Hardly! I have spoken to dozens in government, scientists, research centres, endo specialists doctors and surgeons, no one will listen about metamizole. No one. Metamizole treats endo in Germany and Eastern Europe. But in Australia we hack away in surgeries that don't work.

I’m just happy entirely honestly . I attract people who I’d hang out with and who don’t ruin my high so when I do tours it’s just fun like having a party and a good one at that. And the bookstore events I get to really affirm my thesis and I get to know it better after each talk. And my readers are so nice to me. Often artists in some way so their posts are beautiful and they give me things like handmade earrings and necklaces and my favorite ~ handwritten letters folded into tight squares and passed to me in a way that says “please read this later”. I love the hugs. I love the offers to smoke weed outside. And Daniel and I travel so well together, I really appreciate that. In ways I do prefer vacation/work/party fusions as opposed to just one thing at once because it gets to be this whole activation of energy and bliss and have a greater purpose. I love keeping up with artists, eating, reading, dancing. Just vibrating around.

Take a walk through any major Australian city CBD on a weekend and it’s hard not to feel like we’re living in some sort of simulation: - 90% of people are foreigners - of the remainder, most are homeless drug addicts / and or with severe mental health issues - tents everywhere - lots of purple haireds - everyone dressed in cheap generic slop - everyone eating $20 slop bowls from the food court - enter store other than Uniqlo -> oh this jacket looks alright -> price $800 Strange times we live in…

Out the back, a garden and somewhere to light a prayer candle. Clean rooms. Free streaming. Good tea. Cheaper than a hostel. Barely anyone stays here. I love it

I love my 2nd favourite hotel in Sydney. Breakfast: Pancake machine with as much Nutella as I want. Fresh cold press juice (watermelon, tomato, green or red apple, pineapple or melon). Yoghurt, coulis. Large pots of tea, choose from 7 flavours.
