@UKinUganda Your handling of visa applications is shameful! An applicant has held back to back visas for 30 years, his doctors have written to support his application, is admitted in a hospital in your country, has paid accommodation, and you deny the visa without a phone call?

@NinyeTabz Great! But will Uganda run on the budget passed by the 11th parliament headed by AAA? What about the budget allocated for her office? Will the new speaker and the Deputy speaker maintain the budget? If so, what will have changed?

Everyone employed by parliament should reapply for their jobs because what’s this? Who is the HR at Parliament? What criteria is followed to hire people at Parliament? Looks like the real mayhem has been in the kind and quality of hired personnel!

🚨NEMA WARNED, YET HOTEL CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES IN ST. KAGWA WETLAND. (Dr. Silver Mugisha’s Hotel in Bushenyi Wetland Sparks Fresh Controversy) The situation is about a hotel being constructed by Dr. Silver Mugisha, the long-time Managing Director of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC), at St. Kagwa (also called Kakoma/St. Kagwa wetland area) in Bushenyi District. According to reports from as far back as 2023, the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) issued guidelines and a warning over the project because of its location in or near a protected wetland. Local environmental officers raised concerns that if the guidelines were not strictly followed, the hotel would negatively affect the wetland and surrounding water sources. The issue has resurfaced now because people are questioning why the head of a water corporation is allegedly building in a wetland while his organization is supposed to protect water resources. The matter remains controversial, with some locals and activists accusing him of ignoring environmental rules. People are asking... As the Managing Director of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation, how do you reconcile building a hotel in a wetland area with the institution’s core mandate of protecting Uganda’s water resources and wetlands????

That is sad that people are dragging @NWSCMD into certain things! Can I ask a few things? 1. Is your new hotel at St. Kagwa Bushenyi not in a wetland? 2. Did you not receive the @nemaug warning about that development and you ignored it? 3. What does your son, also Silver do?

Uganda ships first-ever processed pineapple exports to China Uganda has sent its first-ever shipment of processed pineapples to China, marking a step in efforts to expand value-added agricultural exports. The move comes as Kampala seeks to strengthen its position in global agribusiness by shifting from raw exports to processed goods. The shipment forms part of broader cooperation between Uganda, China, and the Food and Agriculture Organization under the South-to-South Cooperation programme. It follows China’s recent expansion of its zero-tariff policy to 53 African countries, aimed at boosting trade in value-added products.

Guys, in today’s @DailyMonitor you will see opulence at its finest. Madam AAA had a Kigo mansion, a Kololo Hilltop Estate, a Nakasero Mansion, a residence in Ntinda, a lavish Bukedea country home and an additional Buyende property. The properties had bullet resistant glass, steel reinforcements and top level security. This babe was truly going to be a problem to the regime.

But surely saying the “exposes are a part of a calculated character assassination” means the exposes were false and she is not corrupt. Also “being fought” would mean she’s an innocent person being fought. Because if she is corrupt she deserves “being fought” since being fought in this case was being exposed.
Batte Baker Lule@BakerbatteLule

@AAgather Because Among has been corrupt, it does not follow that she has not been fought. So, why don't you want the public to get the entire story? Why don't you want us to question the motive of those feeding you with information about her corruption?

📌📌 If this 👇 is authentic, then the @IGGUganda @DrOkiria @AnneTwino should look out for abrupt property purchases @KagutaMuseveni *Presidential Directive on Currency Change* Fellow Ugandans, In exercise of my constitutional mandate to safeguard the economic stability and integrity of our nation, I hereby direct the Bank of Uganda to immediately commence the process of demonetizing and replacing the current 50,000/=, 20,000/=, and 10,000/= currency notes. This sudden change is necessary to curb illicit financial flows, counterfeiting, corruption, and the hoarding of undeclared cash outside the formal banking system. The new notes will incorporate enhanced security features and will be issued within a strictly defined timeframe. All holders of the affected denominations are required to deposit them with licensed commercial banks and supervised financial institutions within the period announced by the Bank of Uganda. Transactions outside the formal system after the deadline will not be recognized. This measure is in the national interest. It will strengthen our tax base, promote financial transparency, and protect the value of the Uganda shilling for ordinary citizens. I call upon all Ugandans to cooperate fully with the Bank of Uganda and relevant authorities during this transition. For God and My Country.

Ugandan army I spent today afternoon giving a lecture to Generals and Senior officers in Mbuya accredited to different countries around the world as Defence Attaches/Advisors about Ugandas potential and how we can exploit that potential for our own good. The generals and senior officers were very attentive and they asked many questions which was great. Left them excited about positioning Uganda and was inspired to give more of these talks to groups like theirs.

My son’s School dropped a message in the WhatsApp group: "Dear parents, kindly note that the official school sweaters are available at only 260,000." …….ONLY??? I read it again to confirm there wasn't a decimal point hiding. Then I asked, "is it ABRYAN'S supplying the sweaters?" Because for 190k, this sweater must come with WiFi, DSTV and airtime. For a sweater that will be lost by third term & found being used as a goalpost? One parent says: "These sweaters must be sown by AAA." I said, "At this price, I want to rear the sheep the wool came from. Then admin sent a warning: "Let's keep the group respectful & focused." I said, "I am focused. I'm trying to understand if this sweater also teaches homework." The admin removed both that parent and I 😂

On 14th May 2022, Kampala hosted a cassava festival. Two years later, I have one serious national question. What happened to the cassava festival? Because cassava is not ordinary food. Cassava has character. Cassava has mood. Cassava can be peaceful in the soil, but the moment you lift it from the ground and it slips from your hand, falls on hard ground, its taste changes to sour, like that former MP from Mukono who lost an election and started punishing his voters. That is when a grown African adult will bare his teeth, bite the upper lip, and say “aimhaaah,” because insulting it quickly is believed to stop it from acquiring that sour taste that a fall introduces to it. Aimhaaah cassava. I am not even sure the organizers understood the psychology of the crop they were celebrating. Cassava is food, yes. But cassava is also attitude. Cassava is endurance. Cassava is survival. Cassava is one of those humble things that never complains when ignored in times of abundance, yet quietly waits to save people when life becomes difficult. I won't go into the details of the superstitions and empirical evidence surrounding the behaviour of cassava, but this country needs to begin taking food standards seriously. Let me digress and talk about bananas/matooke/ebitookye/mbwa zilime; that glorious crop I worship because it paid my school fees. You cannot sell me a bunch of bananas with missing fingers and behave like nothing happened. That is below standard. That is cheating. That is like buying a crate of soda and finding three bottles missing, then the shopkeeper tells you “the rest are a demonstration of your faith.” No. Standards exist because small cheating eventually becomes national culture. This is why UNBS should have issued a statement when that video of a man plucking fingers from a bunch of bananas on a truck went viral. Markets only work properly when trust exists between the seller and the buyer. The moment people normalize missing banana fingers, underweight sugar, watered-down milk, fake cement, and reduced quantities, society slowly trains itself into dishonesty. And before you know it, even leaders start arriving with missing fingers in their manifestos. For that matter, I am informing everyone officially that if anybody dares to organize a roasted maize festival in Kampala, I will attend personally. Let's get back to cassava for now. What happened to the cassava festival?
