These conditions are inhumane and we have to live like this. The bourgeoisie lives in tree-covered gated communities. For the rest of us what few trees that give us shade get cut down to make way for the highway projects that only benefit the SUV-owning elite.

#SciFeature 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗛𝗢𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗥𝗢 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗟𝗔? 🥵 Can you feel the urban heat? Here’s a snapshot of satellite-derived land surface temperatures across Metro Manila and nearby areas last April. What patterns stand out to you? The map reveals a striking thermal contrast. Deep red zones highlight densely built urban centers where land surface temperatures can exceed 40 °C and, in extreme hotspots, approach ~70 °C. In contrast, bluish-green areas indicate cooler surfaces, typically associated with vegetation, water bodies, or less-developed land. A few scattered patches appear cooler as well, but these are likely cloud cover rather than ground readings. The pattern is clear: Metro Manila’s urban core is significantly hotter than its surrounding suburbs and greener outskirts. This is a classic example of the urban heat island effect, where concrete, asphalt, and dense infrastructure absorb and re-radiate heat throughout the day and night, while limited tree cover reduces natural cooling through shade and evapotranspiration. As cities continue to expand, additional heat from vehicles, buildings, and industrial activity further intensifies local temperatures. These elevated surface temperatures can increase energy demand, worsen heat stress, and raise health risks, especially for elderly and low-income communities. #TagInit2026 #urbanheatisland #MetroManila

Insanely funny to use Bob Ross in this sort of argument. His whole thing was the process of making art, not the end result! His show was literally called "The Joy of Painting"!!!!

@NihilNothings Singapore is a one-party state, Malaysia is a fucking nightmare of ethnic-based democracy, Indons and filipinos are under quasi-democratic-oligarchic state with "the people" serving as weak-willed kingmakers of which oligarchs get to rule.

"Non-binary" is leftist coded language that is literally NEVER used in bible believing churches to describe God the Father (despite the not-so-clever attempt by the kid in the video to try this "gotcha" with Kirk). But we all know why Talarico does this. And it's the same reason he preaches that God is actually pro-abortion. He is attempting to hammer the square Christian peg into the round hole of leftist progressivism. It's not a good fit. Good luck winning in Texas with that.

Sara and her whole family has their own corruption that has to be dealt with, whistleblown by Trillianes since Duterte was president.

@Polymarket The Philippine Senate and Congress are afraid of Sara Duterte. That's why they are bribing fellow politicians to vote for her impeachment. Sara Duterte was the first to blow the whistle on the multi billion peso corruption scandal that involved a lot of Congressmen and Senators.

18 Narra trees can be found in our street alone here in Mandaluyong. This time every year I look forward to their flowers blanketing our street yellow. Today I just saw another big one behind our studio office (still in the same baranggay!)
