🪊 Scrap Metal enjoyed performing at the America 250 Kickoff to Summer Celebration yesterday! Military and community members gathered at Camp Dodge to celebrate the beginning of summer along with our Nation’s 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. 🇺🇸

I get the chance to do and achieve a lot of cool stuff with the Army. This past weekend was yet another example.

@DrewSav You gotta think about it the other way round - the US has been decreasing the number of airports for decades. There were plenty before, and they continue to shrink and dwindle. If there was a need, they would have expanded.

Are new airports ever built or is that a not a thing?

Classic example of what some NWS folks are naming GWAC (gravity-wave associated convection). These can be *very* hazardous storms with large hail, high winds, and even tornado-like damage

@t3hansen Wear em down - in their losses this year they’ve been close but then just made dumb turnovers down the stretch in the last 4 minutes. Just gotta get there.

Tenn’s length was always a concern, but if we can keep pushing the pace + whipping the ball around with good spacing, this game will open up. Just a matter of time.

A few halftime thoughts: -- Major size advantage stands out for Tennessee. We knew this would be a problem with Jefferson out. Vols killed ISU on the glass in first 20. It hasn't led to a ton of second chance points but some very easy FG's. -- Only 4 shots for Milan. They have to get him more looks. -- Best game of Heise's career. He's been so good the last few weeks. -- Tennessee is really good defensively, but I think three of Iowa State's seven TO's were not forced. Clean that up. -- Vols have done a really good job identifying the open space in Iowa State's defense after the trap. Getting the right guys open.
