"I've always maintained that Allen Fieldhouse is not that difficult to win in....the problem is, when you play there, they make you play Kansas." — @JayBilas

Inscriptagraphs giveaways are back!
Tonight's item is a William Karlsson signed puck. To win, guess the exact number of seconds Karlsson will play in Game 1.
Total ice time, all strengths.
The closest guess without going over wins the prize from @inscriptagraphs!

Sorry, but @Yelp's Top 100 BBQ restaurants rankings cant' be taken seriously when Phoenix has more listings than KC and Austin.

What's crazy is that the head-butt occurred right in front of the linesmen, yet Durzi got only a roughing penalty last night. Rulebook? What rulebook?
NHL Review@nhl_review
@NHLPlayerSafety A fine for a headbutt is CRAZY. How is this not a suspension??

@Acyn Totally, nothing says “patriotism” like demanding everyone stop asking questions and just clap louder. 🇺🇸

Hegseth: To the American media—I just can't help but notice the endless stream of garbage, the relentlessly negative coverage you cannot resist peddling. Sometimes it's hard to figure out what side some of you are actually on. It's incredibly unpatriotic.
Jesus entered a synagogue and healed a man with a withered hand. The Pharisees came to watch. As the scripture reads, they were there to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath so that they might accuse Him.
You see, the Pharisees — the so-called and self-appointed elites of their time — were there to witness, to write everything down, and to report. But their hearts were hardened, even though they witnessed a literal miracle. It didn’t matter to them. They were only there to explain away the goodness in pursuit of their agenda. As the passage ends, the Pharisees went out and immediately held a council against him, plotting how they might destroy him.
Our press are like these Pharisees

@OleTimeHardball @jasonrkuhl I guess you did save "favorite catcher." Had you said "best catcher," a top-10 list without Yadi or Josh Gibson is a poor list (and they're also on my "favorite catcher" list).

"The 1964 Cardinals never won a game they could afford to lose; and never lost a game that they had to win."
Bob Broeg.
"I wish Yankee fans wouldn't boo the guy.
It just makes him mad."
Mickey Mantle regarding Bob Gibson.
"I remember hearing how Mickey Mantle had lost a step and was a little past his prime.
But when he got me, going the other way with a shot to left-center, and hitting that game winner earlier in the series, I couldn't help but think how good this guy truly was...and he was."
Bob Gibson on Mickey Mantle's 18th and final World Series home run.
Game 7, 1964 World Series.
In his final postseason game, Mickey Mantle hits a 3- run homer to the opposite field off right-hander Bob Gibson, his third home run of the World Series.
The home run extends “The Mick's” World Series record to 18 homers.
The homer was in the top of the 6th with 0 out.
Drove in Bobby Richardson and Roger Maris to make it 6-3 Cardinals.
Cardinals go on to win 7-5 with a complete game from Bob Gibson, though the Yanks hit 2 more solo shots in the 9th.
"I never considered taking Bob Gibson out of game seven of the 1964 World Series.
I had a commitment to his heart."
Cardinals Manager Johnny Keane.
“Bob Gibson was the only man, who ever intimidated me besides my Father.’’
Dusty Baker.
During the 1968 season, Bob Gibson started 37 games and finished 31 of them.
Gibson was pulled for a pinch hitter in the other six because the Cardinals were behind.
That means St. Louis Mgr. Red Schoendienst never emerged from the dugout to replace him directly with a reliever all season!!!!

.@BrettFavre With all due respect to one of the greatest QBs ever — I didn’t grow up knowing where the Packers played, what Lambeau Field was, or why people proudly wear cheese on their heads 🧀😄.
I watched. I learned. And now I get it.
That’s how @NFL football works. And honestly, that’s how the Super Bowl halftime show works too. It’s not about only watching what you already know — it’s about discovering what millions of your fellow Americans already love.
Bad Bunny isn’t “foreign” to the Super Bowl — he is America too 🇺🇸🇵🇷🎶. Different sounds, same country, same game.
The Super Bowl is big enough for frozen fields, cheese hats, country music… and Spanish lyrics.
That’s not losing tradition. That’s America showing how big the tent really is. 🏈❤️
And you should try Tembleque, Alcapurrias and Mofongo! Don’t be sad, be happy!
Brett Favre@BrettFavre
Not familiar with Bad Bunny so don’t know if his music is good or bad. I’m just going to watch what I know Lee Brice, Kid Rock All-American Halftime Show.
