@samuelstroschei What was your VS Code Markdown preview plugin again that provides a preview with component rendering? I really like this because you can write everything without a running process and of course Copilot. Recommend it in the docs 😉

@0xhbam We had the same insight when building @lixCCS that version control and AI automation are a excellent match. AI automation can suggest changes, you can review the differences and accept or reject them. Bonus: There is always a way to revert the changes

@samuelstroschei @lixCCS That fantastic 👏 Reproducibility makes or brakes open source software. Everyone can hand in a bug with a broken file. Everyone can fix the bug with the broken file.

reproducibility in @lixccs is crazy - a lix app had a bug that i couldn't reproduce in unit tests. - i dumped the lix file and loaded it into the unit test and et voila, reproduction is here in 10 lines of code. - completely unit testable!!!

💡 Change graph as main interaction point to make history discoverable. We were busy this week exploring concepts for the Lix File Manager, guided by the question: How can a user observe changes? Answer: The change graph.

Final thoughts The concepts demonstrate how change control features could be implemented in apps like Fink. To enhance collaboration across different departments involved in the translation process, these concepts could be generalized and integrated into the apps used by designers, developers and other stakeholders. With change control integrated into the translation project, every app can open the project so that users can review, edit and commit changes within their own environment. If you now work in a team and ask yourself who changed something and what it was before, you know what is missing: change control.

Change History Alongside each message, we display the historical data about recent changes and their context, including who made them and when. For more details, users can explore the full history of a single message. This detailed history highlights the differences between all changes. And if that’s still insufficient, they know whom to ask about the reasons behind a message change. Additionally, this information allows filtering messages to find recent changes or those committed by a specific user.

🧵Knowing what, when and how data changed is vital to collaboration. Yet most applications offer no change control. We asked ourselves: How would change control look in Fink? Fink is our localization/CAT (computer-assisted translation) editor. You can check it out yourself here: inlang.com/m/tdozzpar/app… Read below 🧵 or on Substack: niklasbuchfink.substack.com/p/change-contr…
