The more I think about it, the more sure I am. Check the UbO Lite blocklist. It’s gotta be blocking some youtube telemetry domain or url that signals playback data. It would explain everything: 1. Desktop views affected only 2. RPM stays the same because the disappeared views were from those using adblockers anyway. 3. Relative likes go up because it’s not blocking interaction 4. There was an update to UbO lite on August 12th, presumingly pushed to web store next day (though it updates somewhat frequently so that’s not necessarily a smoking gun) Yall can tag whoever are the main people investigating in the comments, I haven’t been really following this closely to know.

@JimBrowning11 App developer here. Legitimate interest is what the eu calls stuff like collecting your IP to determine your country or other things considered essential for the app/site to work. Basically things you don't directly make money on.

There really should be a standard for rejecting non-essential cookies instead of going through this sort of time wasting. What makes your 'Legitimate interest' mine? No 'Reject all' option of course. Cookie control RFC anyone?

@thiojoe @geerlingguy I've done some takedown requests on Tiktok for my company and it's by far the worst at response times. They do eventually take the content down but out of the 2 times we needed to do this the first time took 1 month and the second took about 4-5..

Yea i’ve filed takedowns which have so far gone unanswered. Based on my research I’m gonna have to probably hire a PR company that apparently has access to tiktok’s “CES” dashboard (central escalation support) to directly report violations that they actually look at. It’s expensive af though.

What is this setting supposed to mean? Is this setting opt-in or opt-out? Assuming the dystopia we're living in, it's opt-out, so I will turn it off. I have a feeling NVIDIA specifically made it unclear, so they get to sell data of confused users.

Found an absolute gem of a website: ifconfig.me Parsing it with curl returns your IPv4 address without any fluff. I wish I knew about it sooner.
