New Stellar Blade Blood Rain interview with the game's director, @jamm3rd via @InvenGlobal ✨
🔴Here are the highlights:
•Journalists were shown a 20-minute gameplay demo that was reportedly more impressive than the trailer itself!
•The new protagonist is Evie , who is intentionally shorter and younger-looking than Eve , but fights with a tougher, more aggressive style 🍑✨
• Kim said Evie will have a much stronger and more defined personality than the protagonist of the first game
•Costume quality is expected to be substantially higher, with Kim saying the team now believes they can compete with the best developers in the world
•Combat is shifting toward close-quarters combat while still retaining elements fans enjoyed from the original 👊
• Music remains a major priority, with Kim promising a soundtrack that is equal to or better than the first game 🤯🎵
• A major focus is the game's massive Asian-inspired cyberpunk city , blending influences from places like Hong Kong, Korea, and Japan.
•Difficulty is expected to be at least as challenging as Stellar Blade , although an improved Easy Mode is planned from launch 😀
•The previously mentioned 2027 release window is not guaranteed , as the project has grown significantly in scope ⏲️

@Bunneechan Just ignore the critics, their not genuine. Just look at how many people “like” the trailer. That gives the best reflection of success and what people genuinely think of the game. Journalists and companies like IGN have totally lost their credibility, years ago. Their irrelevant.

Can someone explain the double standard to me?
MixTape — a game literally about minors with a kissing mini-game — gets called a 10/10 masterpiece by IGN and the usual crowd.
But Stellar Blade Blood Rain with an athletic, adult gymnast-built Evie? Suddenly it’s “pedo bait” and problematic.
How does this rating & outrage standard even exist? One celebrates youthful romance, the other gets attacked for a strong, stylized adult woman.
Make it make sense.

@RestoreBritain Restore Britain is the only political party that favours the native people of the UK. Thats why they will always get my vote.
English

@Mangalawyer Why on earth did that get removed?? Sony needs to get a grip i think. Since when did people/companies get so obsessed with stunting creativity and restricting enjoyment for people. Its not a very happy ideology. Censoring shouldn’t exist i think.

If a migrant comes to our country and attempts to saw a man's head off in the street, a Restore Britain Government will not deport.
With the British people's approval, that savage will be put to death.
But that is not enough - these atrocities will keep happening. The barbarians are already inside the gates.
Immigration will end from countries that are proven to supply us with these monsters.
Third world migrants who hate our way of life will be removed from our country. Restore Britain will deport millions.
I have had enough. The British people have had enough.
We do not have to live like this - there is another way.
Death penalty, mass deportations, end mass immigration.
That is what Restore Britain will do.

@dearcindyphan Theres nothing controversial about Evie. Shes a great character design. Shift up are amazing. Stellar Blade was an amazing game. People are trying to make this a talking point and it really isn’t. This is the downside of social media and click bait opinions.
English

I’ve seen a lot of discussion surrounding Evie’s design in Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, and I understand why some people are uncomfortable with it. At first glance, she does look younger than Eve, and I can see why that raises concerns for some people.
That being said, I think it’s important not to jump to conclusions before we know more about her character, story, and the reason behind her design. SHIFT UP has already said they intentionally made Evie smaller and younger looking to better fit the close quarters combat style they’re going for.
As someone who genuinely loved the first Stellar Blade, I feel like the conversation is once again focusing entirely on character appearance while overlooking everything else the game does so well. Stellar Blade wasn’t just about an attractive protagonist. It had amazing music, fun combat, beautiful visuals, memorable bosses, and a world that was clearly made with a lot of passion.
Because of that, it’s honestly a little heartbreaking for me to see so much negativity surrounding a game and studio that I genuinely love. SHIFT UP has always been known for creating attractive characters and fan service. Anyone familiar with Stellar Blade or Nikke already knows that’s part of their style. That’s nothing new.
I respect that people have different opinions, and I’m not asking anyone to agree with me. I just hope we give the developers a chance to tell their story before deciding what the game is or isn’t.
At the end of the day, I’m excited for Blood Rain because of the gameplay, music, story, world, and passion behind it all. I’m genuinely just so happy that we’re getting a new Stellar Blade game! ❤️ #stellarblade #stellarbladebloodrain #shiftup

@GeraltofGoonia Hahaha, you cant argue with those numbers. Stellar Blade wins again, despite having very little positive publicity. Pretty always wins lol.
