@mclayrot Oh weird -- DNS issues take a while to propagate out and fix. oTranscribe also tries to cache a lot of things locally so that it should (mostly) work when we're down or you're off-line.

Niche request: I've been using @oTranscribe for yearsssss but it seems it's been abandoned now, which sucks - any (free) alternative other journos can recommend? I don't need something that transcribes for me, just something I can put my audio in and type words, pause/stop etc

I was wondering why @oTranscribe wasn't working for me today. Absolutely gutted that it's gone. Anyone have any good alternatives? I'm not the biggest fan of editing in Otter

@michaelfraydk Oh no! Sorry to hear that. If it’s not showing up when you click on the history button in the sidebar, than probably not - it looks like the memory was wiped for some reason.

@oTranscribe Heeelp... I accidently closed my Chrome browser, where I was transcribing an interview. After going back to otranscribe.com it was a new document. Nothing to restore in History. I assume that my interview was backed up automatically. Can I find those backups?

@MichaelAHann Oh that’s weird! I’d recommend making sure you’re running the latest version of the browser(s). Are these from different recording software or all the same one? Might also help to try converting file type before transcribing.
