I am writing to formally complain about the ongoing issue with my MTN 5G MiFi device, which has significantly affected my productivity and internet experience.
I purchased the MTN 5G MiFi on March 25, 2026, and the device connected properly to the 5G network without issues until April 30, 2026. Since then, the MiFi has been unable to connect to the 5G network despite being in a confirmed 5G coverage area.
After noticing the issue, I contacted the MTN customer care line multiple times over several days to report the problem. Following my complaints, an MTN engineer visited my location in Ilesa, Osun State, to investigate the issue. After carrying out checks, he confirmed that there is good and stable MTN 5G coverage in my area. However, he stated that the issue was related to the device itself and not the network.
Based on his recommendation, I visited the MTN office to report the faulty MiFi device. The staff attempted several troubleshooting procedures, but the device still failed to access the 5G network. During the process, I was informed that I am not the only customer experiencing this issue and that several other users of the MTN 5G MiFi are facing the same problem.
This situation is extremely disappointing because the device was marketed and sold as a reliable 5G MiFi product. A device that stops accessing 5G within a short period of purchase raises serious concerns about its quality and reliability. As a customer, I feel misled and frustrated by this experience, especially after spending money on a product that no longer performs its primary function.
The issue has negatively affected my daily activities and productivity, as I rely heavily on stable and fast internet connectivity for important tasks.
