Steven Bartlett says a few glasses of wine ruined the next 3 days of his life “It's one of those areas where you don't understand the hidden cost until you really give it up for a while. I stopped drinking at 30 years old. I'm now 33. When I was 31, I thought, I'll have a drink again because now I could really A/B test it. I had a year of not drinking, decided to have a drink again” “It ruined three days of my life. I had a couple of glasses of wine, didn't get drunk. It ruined three days of my life because of the domino effect it caused” “I got worse sleep that night, and then because I got worse sleep that night, I ate more poorly the next day because my dopamine system or whatever, the cortisol system was all messed up. I podcasted worse. I didn't go to the gym that day or the day after because I felt really bad. I then slept worse, and I could track all of this on my Whoop”

@Cohiba42794785 Any victim of a real child abuser like Jimmy Savile ever wanted to work on some projects praising him? That's why I don't believe any of them, it's just for money...I believe Wade Robson is doing this because Michael is dead...if Michael was alive he wouldn't be saying this.

@ChrisLaubAI @Hesamation I hear ya...but there's such great models that are light weight and open source and they are good enough for 80%+ of use cases.

this is how the AI revolution is different from the INDUSTRIAL revolution. steam engines made work faster but also cheaper. machines were expensive to build but once the factory was running, each product became cheaper to make. AI is complicated. AI is making work more productive (arguably) but with token-based pricing, you don’t own the machine. you rent it every time it thinks, writes, edits, debugs, or retries. if the AI machine produces faster, the bill also grows bigger. the AI revolution may lower labour time but it can also raise usage cost to the point where the “replacement” becomes more expensive than the work it replaced.

🦔Microsoft canceled its internal Claude Code licenses this week after token-based billing made the cost untenable, even for a company with effectively infinite cloud resources. Uber's CTO sent an internal memo warning the company burned through its entire 2026 AI budget in just four months. American AI software prices have jumped 20% to 37%, and GitHub (owned by Microsoft) is dropping flat-rate plans for usage-based billing across its products. My Take The AI subsidy era is ending in real time. The same company that put $13 billion into OpenAI and built the Azure infrastructure powering most of Anthropic's compute just looked at the bill from a competitor's coding tool and decided it was not worth paying. That is not a productivity failure on Anthropic's end. Token-based pricing is forcing every enterprise customer to confront the actual cost of running these models at scale, and the number turns out to be far higher than the flat-rate experiments suggested. This ties directly to my Gemini Flash post yesterday. Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google all raised effective prices in the last six months. Enterprises that built workflows assuming AI costs would keep falling are now watching annual budgets evaporate in months. Two outcomes look likely from here. Either enterprises scale back AI usage to fit budgets, which slows the revenue ramp the labs need to justify their valuations ahead of IPOs, or the labs cut prices and absorb the losses, which makes the unit economics worse at exactly the wrong moment. Both paths land in the same place, the numbers stop working, and somebody has to take the writedown. Hedgie🤗

@HedgieMarkets Will likely lead to more orgs looking much more carefully at open source models, and building upon a good enough model than chasing the latest enterprise ones.

Some details in the arrest report of Ludwig Kaiser per the Florida Affidavit for Arrest: “Richard Reap. Reap stated he was battered by an unknown white male just outside the elevator on the 12th floor. Reap advised that at approximately 1830 hours, he entered the elevator and was followed by an unknown white male and an unknown white female. Reap stated that as the elevator ascended, the male and female began acting in an "uncontrollably intimate" manner, which he described as aggressively kissing. Reap stated that once the elevator reached the 12th floor, he exited the elevator and told the couple to "please have some manners." Reap advised that immediately after making the statement, the unknown male began attacking him. Reap described the attack as the male punching him multiple times and pushing him to the ground. Reap further stated the male made threats of additional violence toward him. Reap advised he believes the suspect is a resident of the apartment building and stated he wished to pursue criminal charges. I observed a large, fresh scratch on the back of Reap's head, along with redness in the same area, consistent with a recent physical altercation.”

Diane Diamond the Queen of tabloid vomit? Yeah, no thank you. This is literally a waste of Netflix space and a certified flop on demand. Nobody asked for this old ass nonsense. #Michaelmovie is breaking records and like typical, propaganda, trash TV in U.S. media, this is what we get. Yeah, I need to cancel my Netflix subscription.

The Oba Femi Open Challenge. They really had no plan for him Post WrestleMania huh? Open Challenges need to die in a fire. We see them every week across all wrestling and it’s a tired concept. It’s peak creative teams being LAZY.

This is fucking my head more than anything I’ve ever seen from space Like holy shit they’re in outer space behind the freaking moon!
Reid Wiseman@astro_reid

Only one chance in this lifetime… Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him. I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

“We'll have universal high income. We're basically just issuing money to people, and just because the output of Business Services will so far exceed the money supply, that effectively you have deflation, because deflation is just the ratio of the outputs of goods and services to the money supply. If the rate of growth of goods and services exceeds the rate of growth of the money supply, which I predict will happen, then you will have deflation.” - Elon Musk

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

The reality is that even having kids, you're likely to end up old and alone. Look at old folks homes, filled with people who had kids, and they are alone. Having kids doesn't guarantee there won't be issues, or they will go live far away, or they simply won't want to spend time with you.

Friend of mine is 35 years old, married and doesn’t want kids. His household income is roughly $300k/yearly and his house is nearly paid off. They invest a good portion of their income for retirement, take multiple yearly vacations and live a nice life. I think people like this are going to regret not having kids in their future. One day when he’s old all he will have to look back on is the random stuff he bought and wasted money on. Instead of putting that money towards having kids and building a family he’s choosing consumerism. This just seems so wasteful and boring to me.
