Can we finally stop with the “Gibson is the best chairman in football” line? That’s another season of failure he’s oversaw while Doug King and Acun Ilıcalı have have their managers the necessary players to guide them to promotion. We don’t get back to the Prem under Gibson.

@morganhousel Certainly in the U.K. the one thing many can be certain of is that they won’t be able to afford to get on the properly ladder or have any meaningful pension for later life.

The most uncertain time in modern history was probably the Cuban Missile crisis. But we look back at that generation as being so lucky, like everything was set for them. But they didn't know if the world would exist tomorrow afternoon!

do you think: 1) Today's young generation faces a more uncertain future than older generations. or 2) We discount how uncertain the world was for older generations because with hindsight we now know how their future ended up.

@PhilSpenc23 Will be interesting to see how they get on at these new clubs. All good players, but did some great coaching and a system that suits them contribute massively to these valuations. A good sign for our new model of developing talent and increasing values of players.

With Archer to Sheff United, Ramsey to Burnley and Giles to Luton it just shows big an opportunity Middlesbrough missed by not getting promoted. I'm still properly gutted that we couldn't keep that side together - it was the most I've enjoyed watching Boro in a long time.

I think it’s time questions were asked about the players. Big focus on underperforming managers of late, ie Warnock, Wilder, even Leo but the reality is the same frailties are there week in week out. The recruitment model is not fit for purpose and the talent pool is abysmal
