Megamix 2/4 that comprises Hip Hop Since 78 is now available. Megamix #2 is titled GFunk Era. The first album I owned was my cassette tape of Run DMC’s Raising Hell. That was my first introduction to a rap album and everything that goes along with diving into an album
Instead of digging for jazz loops, I was digging for obscure album cuts with that G-Funk synth to blare out my Alpine 6x9s. One of these days I’ll do a proper G-Funk mix that goes deep. Until then, this megamix will have to do.
Of course, that music would come to define the culture I consider myself a member of, and a big part of who and what I am. The mix blends together the soundtrack to my earliest years where I can remember listening to music. Enjoy.
The first megamix is titled, KDAYstatix. This was my first introduction to music, accidentally stumbling on the KDAY AM signal and hearing the music I always wanted to hear, but didn't know existed.
First Act in a series of megamixes capturing different stages of my life and the soundtrack to those stages of life. All the megamixes blend together but they also standalone. That's why they are separated as distinct tracks (for all you ADD mofos).

This tribute mix took way longer than I wanted to complete. It took me months to work my way back into my studio. It took more months for me to feel comfortable enough in that studio to put in the hours it takes to create music knowing the one person I could count on to give my
It’s coming up on the 1-year anniversary of the passing of my great friend, musical mentor, and musical soul brother; @omega_nyc Music just hasn’t hit the same for me since his passing. It’s gone from my refuge, to something for me that brings pain and symbolizes loss.
As far as this "Future Shock" mix: it's a Death Row mix, stoned-out, with extended multi-track blends. Some of the blends are so in pocket that the untrained ear probably won't even hear the blend. As always, a lot of effort went into creating this mix. Hope you enjoy.
The O tribute mix (Standing in Live at the SV Show) is actually the most recent mix I've made (completed two months ago). I'll follow that up with more mixes from the vault, followed by some new mixes I'm putting the finishing touches on.
