Love the graphic design of this year’s #PAXUnplugged badges, but I still wish these things had our names on them.

Serious question: As someone who specializes in bringing back old games, I have a burning desire to do a game with a spinner. Have you ever seen a hobby game with a spinner? How would you use one? I have ideas, but I want to hear the wisdom of the masses.

Emergent narrative in games is why I play games. Bless any game makers who prioritize that. What are some of your favorite emergent narrative experiences in games?

@FFGames Can we get an errata to the Hulk deck? That’d be nice.

@ShelfStoriesGBL I am a teacher. It’s rough for sure and has gotten harder but I would not exchange it for anything in the world. Working with students is one of the best parts of my days.

A teacher client of mine, award winning 13 year veteran, just said in therapy: "All of us teachers, we hate it here. We're all looking to get out of this as soon as we can." As a society, we wonder why there's a teacher shortage.

@TheBrokenMeeple @GameMinimalist Could be. Everyone I have played and taught it to thought it was an absolute gem but opinions always vary. There was very little downtime. Almost none. Also we didn’t usually request the information every single turn. And it generally focused around one or two of the score cards

@portalgaming60 @GameMinimalist So the whole game is constant people telling stats? New players will also struggle with that as they are trying to sort out their own abilities. That would drag the game length out a ton.

@TheBrokenMeeple @GameMinimalist I never look at their boards I just ask them, “How many flora cards with animal names does everyone have in play?” And then they all tell me their current number.

@portalgaming60 @GameMinimalist The cards to end the game is minor, i mean you can do the same for Gaia's solo mode. And you're telling me in a 4-5 player game you are looking over at people's tableaus and can easily deduce all the tiny iconography for VP's, symbols, tree heights etc. You got zoom-O vision?

@TheBrokenMeeple @GameMinimalist Every time you pick an action you also give actions and/or resources to your opponents. That is positive interaction. And you definitely can assess your opponents tableaus specifically how many more cards do they need to end the game and where are they on fauna goals

@portalgaming60 @GameMinimalist What interaction? The game is great but this is multiplayer solitaire through and through. You don't have time or the ability to accurately gauge another players tableau when you choose an action (barely a little at most in two player) so you are basically doing your own thing.

I’m in a gaming no-man’s land. Wanna play a big, beautiful adventure. But I don’t wanna spend half my time or more killing or crafting, just exploring corners and being surprised. Not sure what to pick up next, in any gaming genre. Suggestions welcome.
