@amybruni 9 days ago @AmericanAir sent my checked bag to Miami (which I didn’t fly through). I submitted lost luggage claim, shared AirTag URL, screenshots, and called twice a day but no one there will do anything but “notify central baggage office”. Garbage service.

Airlines must *hate* air tags. My bags were lost yesterday and this is my third call with the airline where they try to blatantly lie about where my bag is - and I can just be like, “nope, that’s not true at all.”

I guess you would rather pay thousands of dollars for my bag rather than sending someone in Miami into the baggage room to retrieve it for me (AirTag shows it hasn’t moved)? It’s been eight days and no one has provided me any information about why you can’t return my checked bag.

@AmericanAir Yes, I see that too when I look at the bag history. But unless someone took the AirTag out of it, it got on a plane to Miami Saturday afternoon and hasn’t moved since. Can you not contact the baggage office at MIA to find the AirTag?

@ClintFiore Having started to fly international business myself, I can tell you that I’m convinced they make coach experience worse to justify the 3x-6x cost increase for business. Used to be we’d dread the flights, but with BC it’s now part of the vacation because it’s pleasant.

Is there a rule of thumb for what your income or net worth should be to fly first class on international flights? Economy over oceans sucks but I’ve never been able to make myself pay the extra thousands for 12-16 hours of comfort instead of gritting it out.
