@TheFoxMatriarch A big part of it is having young or at least youthful grandparents. I'm in my 40s and healthy. I don't have grandchildren but if I had had children starting by 20 I could reasonably have had grandchildren right now and it would be FINE!! I would be totally on board with this.

How do people with 5+ kids have grandparents that watch them? Like my parents aren't young enough to keep up with that many kids especially when they're young. I'm always amazed by big family influencers going on like week long vacations but leaving the kids with the grandparents

@brittilina So the old folks are less able to take care of 4 kids than they were with one 13 years ago, and it’s their fault for “making herself sick” and not wanting to be left with a crying kid. A crying kid won’t bond just because they’re left with him crying. You could try appreciating.

It’s actually been really sad to see my parents lose their ability to handle kids as more have been added to our family. My oldest was born in 2014, and my parents were there for EVERYTHING. My dad would hold and comfort and bounce a crying baby all evening. When my third was born (2023), there was a gap of like 6 weeks where they were unable to see her and it was apparently a crucial bonding time for her bc she would never calm at their house. Instead of trying to spend more time and bond with her, they just mostly stopped watching her for our date nights. She didn’t really get used to her grandparents till her first birthday or even later. I just had a baby 6 weeks ago. My parents watched our kids for 3 nights while I was in the hospital. All 3 older kids sleep through the night, mostly take care of themselves. Yet by the last morning my mom had made herself sick (fever, sore throat) worrying about them and barely sleeping herself. This deterioration is devastating, especially from my dad, who called himself “the baby hog” with all my cousins and always bragged that he could calm down any baby. That man is just… gone.

@drseanmullen @Tabbyette112 I don’t have long covid but I lost a bunch of hair after I had covid. My hairdresser said that’s common after someone’s had covid. My grandson also lost a lot of hair after covid and they had to shave his head. It all grew back in nicely.

@Tabbyette112 Hair falling out is a signal. I’ve talked to dozens of women with Long Covid who experienced this. Claiming Novid without testing regularly is amusing. Assume she’s had multiple infections if she’s doesn’t test or mask. The average is in the ballpark of 5.

Them: “I’ve never had Covid. Isn’t that interesting? Maybe it’s genetic or something. I should be studied.” Me: So you’re a CC Novid and you haven’t been sick since 2019 and somehow we only just met. I find that interesting. Them: I didn’t say I haven’t been sick. What’s a Novid? Me: Wait, do you test and mask? Them: 😂 It’s 2026. Me: The study is over. I have all the information I need.

@MissouriCentury Young people are leaving Missouri because your schools are underfunded crap and you keep attacking women’s health so nobody wants to have a baby or raise children there. Cutting rich people’s taxes and raising sales taxes will just make that worse.

@emilykmay We do. But you don't notice, don't care and don't give credit. I lived on soup for two months because my pregnant wife couldn't even smell other foods without feeling sick. I don't need your lecture and neither do other men.

as a recipient of meal trains after baby's births and other surgeries, I can confirm that 85% of the meals were made by women and a good chunk of those women were working full time. men, you can do these gestures too, even though you have jobs!

A family from church has a boy in the hospital, my wife made them dinner to ease their suffering. I like being married to a woman who does stuff like this instead of typing numbers into a spreadsheet at a job she hates. Happy to work a little harder to make it happen.

@DrJMarine @ashishkjha It happened during covid but the average American is too stupid or inattentive to understand relative risk. You have a 1% risk of dying from covid or a 1/100,000 risk of a bad reaction from the vaccine. So both are dangerous! The vaccine is too dangerous to take!

@ashishkjha "We should explain risk and let adults decide" This should be the foundation of public health practice. But this did not happen during the covid debacle.

@GodsRiddles The covid vaccine is not experimental. It’s one of the most thoroughly tested drugs out there - billions of doses have been given. And you’re not forced to take it. If a job requires it, you don’t have to take that job. You don’t have a constitutional right to a certain job.

Riddle me this, America. The Supreme Court holds that no person has a right to access investigational drugs, even when they are terminally ill, outside of FDA authorization. Yet, the 3rd, 5th, 6th, 9th, and 10th circuits now hold that healthy people can be mandated to use experimental drugs and simultaneously surrender any right to sue when injured by them. This sounds like the courts' only focus on death, not life. If you're dying, you can't try the drugs, but if you're healthy, you can be mandated to use a drug that might kill you. This is so 2026 America right now.

@DrSuneelDhand The people with no medical background have no way to evaluate the info, often wrong, that AI spits out. One medical group entirely made up a disease and AI happily spits it out when it gets the right prompts. It’s a medical misinformation tornado.

I have talked to at least two people in the last couple of weeks, no medical background whatsoever, telling me how they are routinely having medical conversations with AI— really happy with the results, and telling me they think it’s way better than talking to their doctor. I really don’t think the medical professional understands what a complete gamechanger we are witnessing. A lot of arrogant physicians out there have no idea what’s coming!

@JoshuaSeattle1 @xio4444 @ABmrJutt Google fail on your part. Google miscarriage arrest, sepsis, hemorrhage, turned away from hospital. Also women refused miscarriage drugs at pharmacy due to pharmacist’s “religious beliefs”. Your ignorance of current events doesn’t mean they’re not happening. Try to keep up.

I don't know how it is in South Asia, where you're from, but here in the US, certain states have investigated or charged women for pregnancy loss in specific cases involving drug use, disposal of remains, or suspected self-managed abortion, but this is not a nationwide policy and most miscarriages face no criminal scrutiny.

@JillFilipovic This is also an indication of what an incredibly sloppy administration this is. Any other would have gotten this info in background checks - if the Daily Mail could get it, so could the normally rigorous background checks of the FBI would have flagged it before she was nominated.

@MollyJongFast Imagine a competent administration that would do security checks on cabinet secretaries’ families before nominating them? If the Guardian could find it, the FBI and CIA would have been able to find it before they fired all the competent people, and spared us this embarrassment.

@DrAlmarielao Phony. No woman gives her address to a stranger she met on Instagram without meeting him first. First date in a public place with her own transportation. This is some guy’s idea of a first date.

“What is literally the point?” A Utah man sets up a date. Saturday, 7 PM, all planned. They meet on Instagram, exchange numbers, everything seems normal. Then… hours before the date, he asks for her address. She assumes he’s picking her up. But right after getting it? He switches it up completely. Wait, l what happened to the original plan? She instantly felt the red flag. Because if someone can’t stick to a simple plan after asking for your address… what else might they switch up? Was her reaction a smart instinct catching a red flag… or did she turn a simple last-minute plan change into unnecessary drama?
