I have been working on Nepal's trade based data sourced via TEPC data portal. I have cleaned it in terms of 8 and 6 digit HSCode using STATA. Folks using the portal data for analysis can have a good use of this blog.

It is harder to get approval from the Nepali government (NOC, equivalency certificate - basically bullshit) than it is to get a visa from the US Embassy

What could be the solution to Kathmandu's traffic? Buses have large carrying capacity but I feel our streets aren't big enough for them. Micros fit well with our streets but limited seats +more pollution. Is monorail viable?I am lineant towards metros but how could we finance it?
