welcome to the uma big tent, we have:
- ppl who play the game and know zero lore but have a 3-year "pull plan"
- lore-obssessed but HATE the gameplay
- really, really into one piece of media
- got so deep into keiba they barely think about "umamusume" anymore, only "horse"

i don't understand calling people tourists over not playing the uma game. you can not play the game and still be a fan of this multimedia franchise. there's a lot of content separate from the game

@Kontenasan_bf Haha it’s a bit brutal, especially since I’m not drinking too much water in order to avoid bathroom breaks. The occasional breeze is the one saving grace.

I think this is the first Classic generation for many people who have followed racing all the way through from the two-year-old season.
There were plenty of highly touted prospects, the kind people were talking about even before their debut. But if you have really watched them all the way here, then you have probably felt just how difficult it is to make it to the Classics at all.
When the horses walk onto the track for the Satsuki Sho and the Japanese Derby, this may sound melodramatic, but every year I find myself close to tears. I always end up thinking: you really made it here. That alone is incredible.
They look more beautiful than usual to me on those days. Racing may be, in one sense, something shaped by human hands and human desires. But at moments like that, I feel there is something in it that goes beyond a merely human way of seeing. When I think of how many living things have disappeared from the earth, I cannot help feeling what extraordinary creatures horses are. The force of life. Its beauty.
And behind every one of these horses, there are countless people. Breeders, people at the raising farms, people at the training centers, owners, truck drivers and transport staff, racecourse staff, and so many more that you could never finish listing them all.
For some of them, this may be the first and last Classic race of their lives. For a small breeder, it may be the work of a lifetime. And all of that is compressed into about two minutes.

@ChrisTheCaster What’s your favourite? Was my first time at Hanshin today and I have to say it’s not laid out as well as Fuchu; much more difficult to get around. Will be first time at Nakayama for Satsuki Sho.

@uN2pbOelPB1584 @TalkinBaseball_ Both Canada and Japan! Though I don’t think Canada will make it very far unfortunately. Luckily they’re in different pools so I won’t have to choose between them.

@uN2pbOelPB1584 @TalkinBaseball_ Canadian and since I live in Japan I cheer for them. If Canada makes it out of Pool A we will see!

@TalkinBaseball_ A question for all baseball fans! Is there anyone who supports a different country instead of their own?
For example, an American who supports Australia, a Canadian who supports the US, or a Mexican who supports Korea?

@Kontenasan_bf Divine Wind is a dark horse in this, most overlooked horse I believe.

@nuerburgring definitely UK plates Citroen. it's like someone found Acadiane somewhere in barn after 20 years and his first thought was "i have to test it. yeah, race track would be okay. let's go to Germany"

@AsobiKingdom @TheShogunTYO @JapanHatesPC @JapanHatesXbox And only getting more popular. I lot of Japanese friends I have in their early 20s play Valorant.

@TheShogunTYO @JapanHatesPC @JapanHatesXbox "Japan hates PC" doesn't even make sense?!
Gaming PCs are popular here right? I'm not part of that scene but gaming PCs have a lot of retail space in store.

@JapanHatesPC @JapanHatesXbox what a funny little account, ay.
