I used to accept it as common knowledge too until I read something that refuted it. And I could swear I've read Lynch saying the same, which I suppose could be intentional or unintentional misremembering on his part.

Where does the story come from that Lynch left Twin Peaks in its 2nd season to film Wild at Heart? It's so pervasive but so easily disproven I'm always surprised how well its stuck. Just w dates, ABC renewed TP for a 2nd season on May 22, 1990. Wild at Heart premiered May 25.

@PLAYgamingmag Got it on release and played Motorstorm and Resistance solidly for 9 months. Those two are burned in my brain, incredibly nostalgic. They were the last games I remember getting and knowing nothing about prior. Forever favourites.
