Treating COVID like a recurring yearly endemic infection will devastate our economy, society and run down our health services. More & more data to pivot from seasonal flu model to SARS model. Sweden model (live with the virus & run it through) is a failed approach.

It takes years of hard work to develop homegrown players but it's always more satisfying than importing players. Importing is a quick fix to cut corners, homegrown is about building a legacy. Easy for most, rocket science for some!
