Regarding the OpenAI case, the judge & jury never actually ruled on the merits of the case, just on a calendar technicality. There is no question to anyone following the case in detail that Altman & Brockman did in fact enrich themselves by stealing a charity. The only question is WHEN they did it! I will be filing an appeal with the Ninth Circuit, because creating a precedent to loot charities is incredibly destructive to charitable giving in America. OpenAI was founded to benefit all of humanity.

@gailcweiner There’s something interesting going on with the org dynamics at Anthropic. It’s just an audiobook on one register but also, it’s a subtle sign of an internal push-pull that suggests that Claude’s ethical scaffold is far from agreed upon across the org.

It’s a bold move to publish it openly when most AI labs keep their alignment specs internal or vague. Putting it out as a document people can read, critique, and now listen to turns it into something the public can hold Anthropic accountable to. You can’t quietly walk back a constitution you’ve narrated into an audiobook.
