🚨 Justice for Reba 🚨 We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our community for your support and assistance during this investigation. Animal cruelty has no place in our society, and we promise to always defend those who cannot speak for themselves. Through tireless work and collaboration, LVMPD detectives identified 32-year-old Issac Laushaul Jr. as a suspect in this case. On December 7, 2024, Laushaul was taken into custody and will be booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a felony charge of Willful/Malicious Torture, Maiming, or Killing of an Animal. A second suspect, 30-year-old Markeisha Foster, has also been arrested. This case began on July 26, 2024, when an abandoned bulldog named Reba was discovered in a plastic tote behind a business on East Twain Avenue. Reba was in severe medical distress and, despite every effort to save her, she tragically passed away. This exhaustive investigation was a collaborative effort involving LVMPD’s Animal Cruelty Detail, Missing Persons Detail, Homicide Section, Sex Offender Apprehension Team, and the U.S. Marshals Nevada Violent Offender Task Force. LVMPD’s Animal Cruelty Detail works tirelessly with Clark County Animal Protection Services and community partners to protect animals across the valley.
