@softpinkgiggles If this happens, you picked the wrong man. Me and my husband are in the trenches of parenthood together.

@rtwngextremist I literally had a job with my first and wasn’t even this tired.
English

@rtwngextremist @mrsdobbins_ I was so physically exhausted it was crazy. I started misplacing stuff and felt like I was going to fall asleep in my feet. Absolutely awful.
English

@littleapostate Mine are (almost) 2 and 3.5 and I still feel this way ❤️

@be_homestead My 2yo (15mos at the time) pulled a hutch on top of himself at our beach condo last year resulting in 15 stitches and a fractured hand that needed surgery. So traumatic.

Please remember
you’re not a bad parent if your child experienced any physical harm or injury that happened because they were simply being a child; through accidents, falls, or scrapes.
Some things are out of our control.
This was 3 years ago but my son was walking in the bathroom and tripped over the bathroom rug straight into the tub tile and split his forehead open. Like blood everywhere and the gash was deep. luckily we were close to an ER and he was stitched within hours. It was a traumatizing experience and now he has this little scar and it’s just a reminder that some things are preventable and some things aren’t.

@ouranometrian2 One of the highlights of my childhood summers. Let the kids live!

Just bought a bunch of red 40 for the kids for summer

@CartoonsHateHer modern parenthood seems to involve joining increasingly niche facebook groups dedicated to the prevention of extremely specific catastrophes while our parents were just like “be home before dark” and sent us to the garage freezer for red 40 to hydrate.

@grlatrockshow Not woke, retarded. I have 2 sons. The 1st was easy in every aspect and I wanted 4 kids. The 2nd is a handful and has made me want to stop at 2.

@bog_bussy That’s wild. Sleep sack until 18mos, but I think blanket is fine at 12mos. Most babies are literally walking at this age. I think they can manage to move a blanket if they can’t breathe.
English

@hostagehoosier The kids enjoy the tinker toy crap. It’s fine. Let them play with it for a day or 2 then chuck it after they’re in bed.

if you have a toddler, you learn that they generally dislike transitions. like they'll resist going to take a bath, and then they'll also resist getting out of the bath. then you realize that transitions just require energy and adults don't like them either

A real high level Wageslave move is to get home and sit in your car for 30 minutes.
English

@rtwngextremist I know the yolk is my favorite part! but she doesn’t like them
English

@LadyNimby Depends. For my 1st it was about 2.5. My 2nd is not nearly as coordinated at almost 2 so idk if he’ll be ready then! But unsupervised stair use is a real game changer.
English

@New_E_Mom What age did you see a shift? And did you do anything to resolve the pickiness?
English

@tallsnail This was a massive struggle with my 2nd until he hit about 15mos and he and my toddler were both on 1 nap schedule. A lot of days we just stayed home so both could get good naps. I’d put 2yo in front of tv for 15mins to get baby down for nap.
English

oh my goodness gracious, how are we getting our 2nd+ babies enough daytime sleep to not be cranky all the time!
at 3.5 months, carrier naps are extremely hit and miss, he'll only stay asleep for ~10 minutes after I unlatch him, he just gags on the pacifier rn, he won't transfer onto his tummy anymore either🫠
i cannot simply disappear for 2 hours to nap with him
English

@Elliesmommyy23 Just did this the other day with my almost 2 yr old 😑 some kids really don’t like naps.
