Why is separation a bad idea? I look at the economy, and it seems like a good idea to me. The two possible outcome of a seperation movement in Alberta: Scenario 1, low risk: Alberta will stay in Canada but with more autonomy. Moore bargaining powers against Ottawa. Scenario 2, higher risk: Alberta become i dependent. Low tax, less overregulations. Attract innovation. The risk is the transition costs, and the type of trade deals we will have after separations. (More trade deals the better)

I am fiercely loyal to Alberta and Canada and will be voting for our province to remain in confederation Kicking the can down the road only prolongs an emotional and important debate, and muzzling the voices of hundreds of thousands of Albertans who want to be heard is unjustifiable in a free and democratic society. It’s time to have a vote, understand the will of Albertans, and move on. Read my full op-ed here: calgaryherald.com/opinion/column…

@ABDanielleSmith Fantastic! Now what is Alberta going to do about reining in greenhouse gas emissions that will result from increased oil production? Oil and gas already counts for two-thirds of Canada's emissions by sector.

BREAKING: A Presidential permit has been approved for a new bitumen pipeline that will initially deliver more than half a million barrels per day of Alberta oil to facilities and refineries throughout the United States. This project is a joint venture between two great Canadian and US companies South Bow and Bridger using existing assets. After years of advocacy from our government, and following the signing of the Canada-Alberta Energy Agreement last year, the federal government has lifted their oil and gas production cap. This means Alberta producers will be able to produce more of the oil that the world needs. It’s incredible to see that work already paying off with announcements like this. The US is our most important trading partner and we will continue to deliver energy to help secure North American energy dominance.

@PierrePoilievre Well after that trillion dollars of trade deals he made in Davos, we will all eat like kings How's that thing about 'the carbon tax that's so well hidden Canadians can't even tell it's there' campaign going? It's so small it doesn't come out to the price you pay for bags buddy

Sorry to break it to you, Mr. Carney: people can’t eat speeches. They need affordable grocery prices—and Canada’s are rising the fastest in the G7, so you can’t blame it on global causes. End the hidden grocery taxes. Stop printing money.
Pierre Poilievre@PierrePoilievre

BREAKING: New data shows Canada has the highest food price inflation in the G7. That is the cost of Carney. Canada: 6.2% Japan: 5.1% United Kingdom: 4.5% United States: 3.1% Italy: 2.3% France: 1.7% Germany: 1.4%

This year, millions of Canadians made the choice to buy Canadian — and by introducing our new Buy Canadian Policy, so did Canada’s new government. Here’s to buying more Canadian in 2026.

Emerita Receives Official Court Resolution in Aznalcóllar Trial. Emerita is surprised and disappointed that the Court did not deem that criminal convictions were warranted in this case despite clear irregularities in the Aznalcóllar public tender process established by previous judicial rulings. Emerita respects the Court’s decision and will review the Court’s written resolution in detail with its Spanish legal counsel to determine whether a further response is appropriate. Emerita is awaiting the ruling of the Tribunal Superior De Justicia De Andalucia (the “ Administrative Court ”) on whether the various alleged irregularities by the Junta De Andalucia in adjudicating the Aznalcóllar public tender occurred and whether the Tender should have been awarded to Emerita given the existence of such alleged irregularities. emeritaresources.com/news-and-media…

According to the latest poll, PM Mark Carney is leading PP by 24 percentage points. How many more ways do Canadians have to say that we don't want PP to lead anything? Mark Carney is a fantastic PM and is exactly who we need right now. ❤️🇨🇦❤️ #IStandWithMarkCarney

Trudeau just had his first speaking engagement yesterday in South Korea to guess what? Talk about himself. He hasn’t changed. The guy is still a malignant narcissist who still doesn’t understand that he was the cause of most of the problems Canadians faced. The look on the faces in the crowd tells you everything.

Maybe it’s just me, but Pierre looks scared and confused. Feels like he knows he’s running out of time and ammunition, with Carney making big progress (a lot behind the scenes). Reminds me of when Carney replaced Trudeau — Pierre asking himself: What am I doing here? And with a Jan 2026 leadership review coming, even hardcore supporters are running out of patience. That’s a lot of pressure.

@AnaPoilievre You need to rethink all your strategy. Liberals jumping from 20% to 40% ….thats their merit but also is your fault . We have the best chance of sending Liberals back in opposition and we missed it .
