This is happening just out of pure coincidence, but on National Wildlife Day, I'm happy to share that I was selected as a candidate in the prestigious MSc Wildlife Science course of NCBS, Bangalore. Really proud of myself, because I gave my best to clear the selection process. :)

You can see this incredible rhino-tiger interaction in only 4 tiger reserves of India - Kaziranga, Assam - Manas, Assam - Orang, Assam - Dudhwa , Uttar Pradesh ( only a few hours away from Delhi) @DudhwaTR @uptourismgov #dudhwa #rhinos

Terai wet grasslands. The grasses are really tall and provide wonderful cover for the wildlife. This rhino is unaware of the tiger sitting in water nearby. A capture from Dudhwa. PC: Surender Kumar

@CanisPariah I'm not sure if an aquatic animal outside water would not be stressed from such photo op.

Compassion, empathy & knowledge are deep rooted in ruler Indian (Bihar) kids. They immediately knew it’s a DOLPHIN- something special- so couldn’t resist a photoshoot & giggle. The smallest kid could be seen pouring water on it- to keep its skin moist.

Such a tamasha. There are like 20+ people crowded around. Quarantine and release should be done with absolutely minimal contact w humans.

Otters (Ud bilav in Hindi) are not ‘bilav’ or cat. They belongs to the family of badgers and martens. They are carnivores and indicator of a good wetland. They are cute, active and agile to watch. Have you seen them in wilds?

@shranjan @UpforestUp @byadavbjp @ntca_india Having worked at Dudhwa now and that on hog deer habitat use, I completely agree with you. The management techniques of burning large stretches of grassland at once also doesn't help because for hog deers cover seems to be as important as forage.

@NitinNaik5 @ParveenKaswan A tiger also ventured out from Ranthambore and reached Kuno where the other reintroduced cheetahs are. And some of the cheetahs have previously visited Madhav Tiger Reserve, a reserve with reintoduced Tiger population.

Wildlife photographer Gaurav Ramnarayan has taken some really breathtaking pictures of the #Cheetah that has been wandering in Zone 9 of #Ranthambore Tiger Reserve for past few days. NOTE: Though I am sharing it without the permission of the photographer but not claiming it!

Ranthambhore: Jaane kya Dikh Jaaye! Shunned by most, and certainly by the omniscient, Zone #9 is not just picturesque. Tourists today saw a Tiger (no surprises there), a Leopard on the stroll (kool), and a Cheetah! @ForestRajasthan would you advise people choose the less trodden trails? 😛 A big thanks to Team Kuno and @mpforestdept for the constant vigil ably supported by @ForestRajasthan #ranthambhorenationalpark #bigcats #biodiversity @my_rajasthan @subhoranjansen @rameshpandeyifs @GobindsagarBha1 @ntca_india @moefcc @dharmkhandal Cheetah Photograph by @manassingh_ifs. A cheetah born in India’s Kuno Cheetah Project, named KP-2, has crossed the Chambal River from Madhya Pradesh and reached towards Palighat in Rajasthan. This marks the 6th time a cheetah has entered Rajasthan. This area is very close to Ranthambore. However, the cheetah is currently roaming only in the areas around villages. Its companion, KP-3, is also currently moving around in Baran district Rajasthan. The reality is that both these cheetahs are roaming in the proposed Cheetah Corridor, on which neither the Madhya Pradesh government nor the Rajasthan government has done any work so far. In the next few days, a team from Madhya Pradesh will come, tranquilize them, and take them back. What I don’t understand is why the Rajasthan Forest Department staff have still not been trained for cheetah monitoring so that monitoring can be done within the state itself. Anyway, for now, these cheetahs should not be called “Indian-born cheetahs.” They should only be referred to as Madhya Pradesh cheetahs.#cheetahproject #cheetahcorridor #Ranthambhorenationalpark

Kuno's wandering felines love Rajasthan! 🐆 Cheetah KP-2 has crossed the Parvati River & returned to Kota's Khatoli area, just 3 weeks after being tranquilized in Peepalda. Meanwhile, sibling KP-3 has been exploring the Hadoti region in Baran for over a month!
