OPEOLUWA 😎😎
Every revolution has the seed of its own destruction. The very methods or ideologies used to overthrow an old system ultimately birth new, internal contradictions that lead to its own undoing. When a revolution movement succeeds, it must transition from a rebellious force into a governing institution to survive. This process forces the movement to compromise its original, radical ideals. By becoming the establishment, the revolution creates a new status quo, eventually alienating the very people who originally supported it

@funsodoherty Prepare another letter for NDC cuz you'll soon move elsewhere. Building your ambition on 'Obi wave' is tantamount to waiting for Americans to start having tribal marks 🤣. Sir, be a man of conviction. Stop riding behind a dullard. Stand well well

Thursday, May 7, 2026 STATEMENT ON RESIGNATION FROM THE AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (ADC) AND JOINING THE NIGERIA DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (NDC) Most of us are aware of developments concerning the ADC that have collectively resulted in a division of the coalition with some leaders moving to the NDC and some remaining in the ADC. We had hoped that ADC would be the vehicle that would unite the opposition. That is now clearly no longer the case. In these circumstances therefore, we must each individually make a decision as to whether to remain with the ADC or move to the NDC. After due consultation, careful deliberation and prayerful reflection, I have joined the NDC. I am convinced that this is the path that will enable us to deliver the benefits of good governance to those to whom they are due - every citizen, without exception. The battle ahead remains formidable, but I invite you to join us on this exciting, though sometimes turbulent, journey to a brighter future that has been long- promised and that has so far proven elusive, but that is, by the Grace of God, now imminent. Sincerely, Funso Doherty #OTiYa #Itistime

PRESS RELEASE NDCN WELCOMES ESCALATION OF HOSTILITIES AMONG EFF EFF KAY, REN O’MOCKERY AND BOB D. JOURNO The National Distraction Commission of Nigeria (NDCN) has received with great delight and excitement the news of the escalation of hostilities among the aforementioned distinguished personalities. For too long now, a cherished space has been hijacked by pedigree-less streamers and tiktokers who have constantly assaulted national sensibilities with crass and ill-conceived attempts at digital distraction. The reclamation of such a coveted and nationally significant landscape by three eminent Nigerians is therefore most welcome, and a testament to the unwavering efforts of the Commission to restore the highest quality of distraction and lack of decorum to the nation’s storied architecture of bilateral and multilateral vayolens. As we approach a long weekend, we urge all bickering parties to continue to turn deaf ears to the disgruntled elements seeking premature resolution of this brouhaha, and to commit instead to giving Nigerians a performance capable of entertaining the nation till Monday morning. The National Distraction Commission of Nigeria also notes with concern that the battle is currently unequal, with two diplomats arrayed against one journalist, and is urging interested parties to jump into the fray to ensure a more balanced architecture of vayolens.  The Commission remains committed to delivering on its constitutional mandate, and will not hesitate to bring the full weight of the law to bear on all self-appointed peacemakers and de-escalators—including but not limited to placing potent and irrevocable curses on such enemies of progress. The Commission hereby thanks all our stakeholders and everyone at large for your attention to this developing matter. Signed Asimapeyin Kotikanyin Executive Secretary/CEO National Distraction Commission of Nigeria (NDCN) 19 March 2026

President Tinubu’s UK state visit is coming exactly 45 years after President Shagari’s state visit - March 17-20, 1981. During that visit, Shagari presented an Enwonwu piece to the Queen—which PBAT will view when he gets a tour of the @Tate Nigerian Modernism exhibition tomorrow

Congratulations to @taiwoyedele. Responsible and patriotic Nigerians cannot thank you enough for the enormous work you did in the tax reforms and the pain and resilience it took you to see it through. If we have more of you in our public service, Nigeria will be a better place for our future generations. Thank you and happy new year.

As mantles are being passed to the next generation in the Christian circle in Nigeria, they are being passed down too in the political world. Next-generation are leveraging on connections made by their fathers. I can't blame the benefactors nor the beneficiaries.

A profound and compelling historical narrative that crystallizes the doctrine of resilience, political strategy, and democratic persistence. The post accurately identifies a pattern of systemic political setbacks faced by the SW—from the 1962 crisis to the tragedy of June 12—all of which were met not with insurrection, but with a calculated, constitutional fight for space. This 'Common Sense Revolution' is, in essence, a masterclass in converting political disadvantage into a sustainable, multi-decade democratic movement. The critical question for Nigeria’s future, however, is not merely how the revolution was fought, but what is its true philosophical core, and what are its post-victory policy commitments? The ascent of the Chicago-trained Accountant (PBAT) from a single-state governor to the nation's President is the textbook outcome of this strategic doctrine. But now the focus must shift: Is the 'Common Sense Revolution' a means to power or a blueprint for governance? This is the intellectual crux we must engage with. We need to define the Doctrine of PBAT, analyze the scope of his initial Reforms, and project their implications for Nigeria’s Future. In my forthcoming book, "WHO IS TRULY TINUBU? The Doctrine, the Reforms & Nigeria’s Future" (Coming soon on Amazon KDP), I dissect this very evolution: from the political grit of the 'Common Sense Revolution' to the policy framework steering the current administration. Let's debate: What are the non-negotiable tenets of the governance phase of the 'Common Sense Revolution' doctrine, and are the current reforms a true reflection of its founding democratic struggle? #TinubuDoctrine #CommonSenseRevolution #NigeriaPolitics #PBAT #PoliticalStrategy #AmazonKDP

Someone asked me “what is the meaning of COMMON SENSE REVOLUTION “. It is a revolution that involves no physical war or illegal misbehavior! For Example, SW was the only region broken into two out of the three regions inherited from the British. SW was the only region broken by Nigeria, no region was broken again until after the civil war when Nigeria was broken into states! Again, of all the Three Premiers that took over from the British, only SW Premier was sentenced to prison. In 1966, the Premier of the North was killed, and they also killed the Premier of the West. Again, same year in a counter coup, the Head of State from East was killed, they also killed the Governor of West. That is, in both the first coup and the counter coup, SW Leaders were killed, no other regions suffered this double jeopardy! Again, in the history of Nigeria, the only man who won a presidential election in a free and fair poll but whose election was annulled, eventually eliminated together with his wife and business was a Yoruba man! It almost happened to Balewa too but Balewa was eventually allowed to form his government, although he too was eventually eliminated! In all of these, the SW never went to war or formed any terrorist organization. Instead, they went along with their broken region, buried their Premier and Governor, buried the winner of June 12 election and his wife. So how did they fight their battle? The revolution was to start in 2003 but was cut short by the killing of the only Serving Attorney General murdered while in office in 2001! It made the west leaderless but only for a while, say two years before a Chicago University trained Accountant from Mobil who was a senator in the aborted third republic, a NADECO Chieftain, now(then) the governor of Lagos led a unity battle that would start from the West but eventually ravaged the entire country, a bloodless, democratic and participatory struggle called COMMON SENSE REVOLUTION! The revolution that began with only one state became regional and by 2015, turned National. Today, the founder of that Revolution is the President of Nigeria. Meet him, be his friend so he can teach you how to fight democratically without committing TREASON! Good evening to all Progressives only ❤️
