1/2. Out of the 1.97 million bags of fertilizer that President Ruto has proudly distributed across the country, Kiambu—my county—has received only 1,160 bags, while his county, Uasin Gishu, has received a staggering 413,103 bags. Is this fair distribution or blatant favoritism?

Pope Francis suffers a sudden worsening of his respiratory condition after experiencing a bronchial spasm that caused him to inhale vomit, requiring non-invasive mechanical ventilation, according to the Vatican. The setback comes as he continues his two-week battle against double pneumonia at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital.

He has a retirement home, in the city where laws prohibit burials taking place.
Bonny K'ochieng'@orengbonny

@fredomachoka Quick one Mr Machoka, why are they burying him at Lang'ata ,just like Mzee Ojwang'? Does it mean he has no roots? And even if he doesn't... Man , Mzee Leonard Mambo was household name, he didn't build a retirement home anywhere ? I'm disturbed..

But people also invest in apartments or areas where laws prohibit graves being dug there. And that was the case with my big brother Lenny. I am specifically talking about a Heroes Corner for such Legends.

@fredomachoka True #MashujaaWaheshimiwe but it's a wake up call. When working, make sure you have a piece of place somewhere, peaceful. Build, be visiting often, you don't know what your children might become. Or else utakuwa unaweka a heavy load kwa bibi yako, if ever wewe ndiye utatangulia.

ARREST OF SERIAL FRAUDSTERS Three scoundrels are cooling their heels at the Kilimani Police Station after they were arrested by Kilimani detectives while on a mission to defraud an innocent Kenyan. Rafael Ojiambo, Samuel Ayako and Wilfred Gitonga’s proverbial 40 days came to an abrupt end along Nyerere Road when the detectives got wind of their mischief. The three, who had already begun counting their luck, were stopped in their tracks while handing over a safe containing 1.2 million fake US Dollars to the victim in an attempt to obtain clean money. The malefactors had previously obtained Kshs. 4.3 million from another honest Kenyan. A Toyota NZE Reg. No. KBN 101D that was ferrying the safe containing the fake Dollars was impounded, and so was the safe and it's contents which have been kept as exhibits. The trio was presented before the Chief Magistrate’s Court Milimani where custodial orders were granted for the detention of the suspects at Kilimani Police Station until 27th January, 2025. Members of the public are being cautioned against engaging in such get-rich-quick schemes as they are solely designed to rob them of their hard earned money. Investigations have revealed that some victims have lost their valuables including houses and vehicles that were placed as collaterals in exchange of hard cash that is eventually lost to the criminals, with victims being left with nothing to show but millions of fake dollars. Meanwhile, the DCI reiterates it's resolve to fight all forms of fraudulent activities that are engineered to rob members of the public their hard earned resources and wealth.
