@brunapmp but thats not necess good either. goalkeeper has 2 make too many saves in every game. fact is that wück gets away with bad football since 1 game due 2 luck and indiv quality. his team cant press, cant defend and cant control games. total tactical incompetence

@uyiosafasina City? City only made 1/4 finals 3 times in 7 tries. they r not mainstays. Bayern and Wolfsburg w in 1/4 finals 7 and 8 times in last 9 years. chelsea (7 times) and arsenal (5 out of 6). PSG/OL w also oft in 1/4: PSG - 6 & OL - 9 in last 9 years.

The strength of a league is how consistently teams make it though. Chelsea, Arsenal and City are mainstays of the quarters whenever they’re in the competition. Which other league can you say the same for?

@lisa03865019 number of intern players doesnt necess mean better quality. there can b mediocre foreign players. more things go into it. & point is that german teams also had deciding, demanding games around CL ties in last few years. like wsl teams.

@sand34777 I mean I wasn’t talking about competition. If you wanna go down that route then I would argue the nwsl is the most competitive. But our top 2 leagues are literally full of international players. No other league in Europe can compete

Maybe because the big wsl teams are trying to win the wsl + other cups at the same time and can’t really ever rotate much. By the time the knockouts come around the players are already starting to get tired. The same can’t be said for France + Spain. And what’s Germany’s excuse?

@lisa03865019 its absolutely comparable. in terms of pts gap betw 1st, 2d & 3d theres not much diff betw WSL & FBL in last 4-5 years. & stats show that th seas theres more competition in FBL midtable than in WSL and gap betw top3 and rest bigger in WSL.

@wossa_3 german teams (potsdam, wolfsburg, frankfurt) still won in 2010s when there w already lyon+psg+still strong swedish sides. but i agree rn there more top teams although 5-6 years ago there w window (less top teams) but cfc/mc failed to use it 2 build dominance

the german teams had very little competition, the best other teams were the scandies who play a winter schedule, the french teams were feeding all their best players to lyon there was just enough depth to have a PSG, 3 of the french semi finalists were pre 2014.

@mattstevens710 @UnbiasedArsenal ive seen them. leverkusen/kolns press more consistent in intensity/more effective. but point is that Stanway has her qualities (as creative CM) & shouldnt play as defensv 6. and NT game is question of right pairing in midfield and whole team performance.

I tried watching the last Hoffenheim Bayern game as a bit of Cerci scout watch but I had to turn it off after 15 minutes in disgust at Stanway's performance. Very bad signing.

@UnbiasedArsenal u r dumb. yes, stanway is not 6 and needs more defensive 6 alongside (she had Zadrazil at Bayern). this seas she had 2 play 2 roles in 1 bc of injuries to Obi/Zadraz. but even from that more defens role she created 35 chances (7 big chances)+9 assists
