So proud to be part of this brilliant study led by @davidwalker_H2O! I remember the feeling of discovering a goldmine when David mentioned to us this #drought_impacts database made *by humans, for humans*. And as the title gives it away already: impacts are not all about drought!

Day 4 of closing workshops for the 3DDD project. We presented and validated findings at the Piquet Carneiro Municipality Office in the Ceará interior. The principal #drought impact alleviation measures being public policies offering income support and provision of water tankers.

Day 3 of closing workshops for the 3DDD project. We presented findings at the Agricultural Development Office of the Ceará government on #drought impacts, monitoring welfare as well as hydrometeorology, human-induced drought propagation, and the significance of public policies.

For me, a big victory is that rural populations livelihood is finally a focus of drought impact monitoring, in addition to the natural components impacted by #drought 👏

Last Friday marked the final @3DDD_drought in-person meeting for the foreseeable future. Felt a mix of nostalgia and self-derision while watching a video we recorded in 2021 during Covid 🫠. We had some 🥐, 🍊, and 🍾 to celebrate this “last” in-person gathering🥲

Returning home energised after a week in Germany attending the @IAHS_AISH symposium and the @DitA_network workshop. This might be our final OG @3DDD_drought group trip. It’s a bittersweet feeling to share moments together as friends, but sad to know we’ll be parting ways soon...
