Zohran Mamdani just became the first NYC mayor in 61 years to skip the Israel Day Parade. Every mayor since 1964 showed up. Mamdani won’t stand with Jewish New Yorkers.

Hugh Hewitt calls for Jewish DEI appointment to the Supreme Court: "David Stras…is an Eighth Circuit judge…he is a temple-going grandson of Holocaust survivors." "I don't play identity politics…but if you're going to replace Samuel Alito…he is a temple-attending grandson of Holocaust survivors—I like that message in this environment." It would help "accelerate the realignment of Jewish America towards the Republican Party" to have a Republican president nominate a "temple-attending Jew," he suggests.

As @IsraeliPM Netanyahu and FM @gidonsaar have made clear, Itamar Ben Gvir’s reckless grandstanding is not representative of government policy. I am Israel’s top diplomat in the U.S., at the heart of our most important alliance. Ben Gvir’s antics take a sledgehammer to our diplomatic efforts while Israel’s enemies gleefully jump on every unfortunate nonsense to discredit and demonize. The provocateurs of the Flotilla charade were properly detained in accordance with international law and will be deported to their home countries. End of story.

In 1947, the UN offered a two-state solution. The Jews said YES. The Arabs said NO. Neighboring Arab countries invaded the young Israel. If you reject peace and start a war, you can’t claim victimhood. History matters. 🇮🇱

Following the publication by Nicholas Kristof in The New York Times of one of the most hideous and distorted lies ever published against the State of Israel in the modern press, which also received the backing of the newspaper, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar have instructed the initiation of a defamation lawsuit against The New York Times.

I appreciate the intense interest in my column. For skeptics, why not agree on Red Cross and lawyer visits for the 9,000 Palestinian "security" prisoners? If you think these abuse allegations are false, such monitoring visits would be protective. So why not?
Nicholas Kristof@NickKristof

This is a hard article to read, but I hope you'll do so. I've spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they're equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. We should be able to find common ground in opposing rape. Here's a gift link to the article: nytimes.com/2026/05/11/opi…

Hot take: Toly's non-stop geopolitical takes for the past few months has done more damage to Solana than people think. Phoenix could be 10x better than alternatives. Doesn't matter. People reject it not because Toly's takes suggest bad judgment, but because using the product feels like endorsing him as a person - irrational, but true. When an audience finds you repulsive, everything you create becomes repulsive by association.
